Really, waddling??

SO - I've gotten 2 comments from girls in the office about waddling. IT IS WAY TOO EARLY TO WADDLE!!! However - this round ligament pain (I hope) HURTS when I get up from my chair after sitting a while, goes away in a few minutes - better after I stretch my legs... but how long will this go on!? LOL I know I'm really going through a growth spurt right now too.

NO I'm not waddling for show, my groin and lower ab area is legitimately SORE!! >:P

Another thing, why am I so dang sensitive to everyone's comments?! If you look at my belly and not say anything, or look a certain way, something must be wrong. X_X

  • I feel ya, sister.  If I run in the morning, I waddle ALL DAY LONG.

I am not that pregnant yet.  I should not be waddling.

  • The fact that I have to explain myself is just Ludacris in my opinion, lol

  • I feel like I'm waddling or starting to waddle from hip pain! Both hip joints have been feeling sore whether I run or not. I'm sure it's all part of preparing to push a baby out but ouch!

@kstirton‌ You definitely should not have not explain or have people commenting on it! I find I already hate people pointing out I have a bump. Duh, of course I was going to have one at some point, it's part of growing a baby.
  • I'm waddling too. My friend was due on Monday and we went out together recently and I think I waddled as much as she did!

I'm with @kyliedaniellexxx and @Carebella, I think it's exagerated by hip pain. Today has been the WORST. When I get up from my desk I practically limp. It's pathetic.

  • Mine is in the front so I def don't think it's hip pain, hopefully that's not something I have to look forward to!

Then my sister texts "did you call your doctor about it" UM.... no??? Isn't it normal?! It's round ligament pain I'm sure!!

Everything gives me a complex these days.

  • Yeaaaahhhh....I'm kind of waddling and I'm not even as far along as you. I don't know why, though. Maybe it's all in my head.

Still, no one should comment on a pregnant woman's waddling. That would piss me off.

I have really bad sciatica pain and from time to time I catch myself full on waddling to relieve pressure on that nerve. I feel like a hot mess :|

  • Im right there with ya! I waddle big time already :/  I feel so dang awkward when I walk. I blame my hips, Ive had problems with them since my son was born. My other half stares at me like Im goofy as hell with an awkward smile on his face and tells me its cute tho so I guess its okay.
  • I learned in prenatal yoga (guise, am totally an expert now…not!) that we shouldn't be waddling and that it's a sign that we're off alignment. Which makes sense since our bodies are stretching and softening.

Yoga can help but the instructor actually recommended going to a chiropractor to get re-aligned. She said there are some that are considered pregnancy experts and that bc things are shifting, you periodically might need adjustments.

I can totally see where an alignment would help. But I'm not waddling b/c of my bones so much as b/c it hurts to walk because my ab muscles are being torn apart lol

Edited - joints, not bones :P

  • I am waddling too, but due to back pain. I have chronic back problems, so most people know when I walk like I have a stick up my ass, it's not a good day. I did have one person, a close friend actually, make a comment that it was going to be a long 9 months if I am already waddling. I assured her it wasn't be being dramatic over my growing bump, but the pain being so bad I could barely breathe. That was the end of that!

Same. I feel myself walking differently now, but I'm not sure I'd call it "waddling". But on the days where my back is really bothering me, then yeah, I'm definitely waddling.

I'm definitely waddling at almost 21 weeks. The hip and sciatica pain is awful if I don't!

  • I feel like waddle first thing in the morning or after sitting or standing for long periods of time due to pelvic bone pain. Usually once the pain settles down I walk normal. It is definitely starting earlier in this pregnancy than with DD but I am beginning to think everything is starting earlier with this one :)

  • Several weeks ago I had two people tell me I was waddling at random times... honestly though, I would know if I was and at that point I knew I wasn't. Amusingly enough no one has made the comment since, guess I stopped ;)
