Implantation questions

Hello, I'm trying to gain some peace of mind. My husband and I have been trying to convince for two months now. Yes, I know that's not very long and no real cause for concern about infertility but we both really want kids, me probably more so than him. My normal cycle lately has been about 33 to 34 days but this cycle has been abnormal for me. I'm on day 28 and I started spotting pretty heavily yesterday and still today, to the point I think it's AF but it has thus fast been light compared to my usual flow, but as my normal is usually very heavy, even though this is light, I still think it is heavy for the "light spotting" that I keep reading describes normal implantation bleeding. Additionally, there hasn't been my normal cramping. At least not as sever as normal and usually my breasts stop hurting the day AF shows up, but they are still sore. Nothing as painful as I've heard described but still more than usual. I know the only way to know for sure is a hpt but I promised my husband I wouldn't buy one till I'm late for my normal cycle which won't be till Sunday or Monday. Till then, curiosity is killing me. Does anyone have any advice or insight?

    number of days in a cycle generally means nothing, however, even if they did, with a 34 day cycle and unusual symptoms on day 27, it is possible you're ovulating late this month.  If you're not temping, there's no way to know.  And random spotting is just as likely to be ovulation as it is to be implantation.  Neither is terribly common.

    Sounds like your period is about to start. This cycle my usual spotting started 4 days before AF (unusual) and was more of a constant red, instead of the usual brown.

    Your period is normal until it isn't.
