Working it - water aerobics

What is everyone doing for workouts these days? Anyone doing water aerobics? Sweating with the Oldies - pool style?

I was really good at staying active up until about two weeks ago, I've started noticing my braxton hicks get really bad after running/walking anything more than about 2 miles. Saturday was bad, so I've decided nothing longer than a walk to the park with the dog. I've never done water aerobics but it sounds pretty awesome these days - get out of the heat, being weightless! Anyone tried this while pregnant? Thoughts??

Re: Working it - water aerobics

  • I had to stop running about week 28.  Great timing though, because our pool opened about the same time.  I've been swimming laps instead and love it.  If I had a class to go to, I would try water aerobics.  My BF did it when she was pregnant and was totally in love with it.  I say go for it!  It's okay that we are one step away from "Sit and Be Fit".

I tried aqua Zumba.  I honestly didn't feel like I got much of a workout.  Once I'm really no longer able to do regular Zumba I might consider giving it another try.
