  A couple of days ago I had the music turned up in the kitchen and danced around to entertain my 6 month old son. He normally laughs at everything I do, but instead he gave me a half smile...a pity smile, like I was embarrassing myself.

  "I want to go outside. I don't want to wear shoes." (Fine, go outside!)

  "The rocks hurt my feet mommy, shoes mommy, shoes!"

  and the one that has happened every.single.day. this week...

  "Don't leave me at the sitter's..."clings, cries and I have to pry him off... then...
