This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently TTC again, either on their own, or via injectibles, IUI, IVF, adoption, etc.

A check-in will be posted every week. Please send me a PM or reply to the check-in post if you would like to be added to the group. Each check-in will provide the opportunity for you to provide an update as to where you currently are in your TTC.

QOTW: What are you reading? How do you make time to read, or do you?

TTC, without meds, hoping for a wonderful "surprise!"

Ducky719 – 6/4 - I had my consult Mon. I need to redo the trial transfer and the saline/ultrasound (scheduled for this coming Mon), start antibiotics this sat, and go for bloodwork sometime between now and cd1. The doc was nice enough to offer to start me on bcp this week but we decided not to rush through the testing. So i call cd1 (sometime in July) for a transfer sometime prob in aug/sept. I was a little bummed about the quality of our frozen embryos, but I'm trying to be optimistic. our doc said they can grow more within a few hours so we'll just have to see! Beside that, my clinic had a 80% thaw rate and a 42% chance of pregnancy w a fet for women my age. Fingers crossed!

Julie21613 - 5/15 - Met with my RE on 5/8. Not much to report. She is ready to move forward when we are. Haven't gotten AF yet. Somedays I feel like she's arriving then it passes. I will go in for my day 3 bloodwork when she decides to make an appearance. DH and I decided we would continue to try on our own through the summer. This will DD's first summer and we want to enjoy every minute of it with her and not worry about injections, u/s & bloodwork. So looks like we will probably cycle in the fall.

lovemybellag - 4/30 - I am 32 DH 33 and we have a DD who is 14 months. Currently still BF and no PP yet although I have had some spotting last weekend. I tok an HPT but it was negative. Appt with dr end of month and then possible going back to RE depending on what OBGYN says. I just started temping. So we are anxiously awaiting some news as to what is going on, whether I am ovulating and whether we can try on our own or need to go stright to IUI. right now we are trying but by tring we are having sex when we can find the time.

mnj05 – 6/4 - Our appointment is Tuesday!! I'm getting excited and hopeful but also trying to keep myself grounded and realistic about the whole thing.

phishgirl29 - 5/15 - Still trying on our own. Last cycle was a bust and I was supposed to call the RE but I haven't yet. I will though! I'm temping again which is "fun".

TTC, with treatments

Bellalou – 6/4 - TY. I'm not holding up so well. This has been the hardest 2ww of my life knowing this is my last chance. I KNOW that this didn't work. I just know it. I have no symptoms and POAS with no luck. AF is due in like 3 days. sigh....

blueberries8 - 5/29 - FET #3 was a no-go because none of the embryos continued to develop after thawing I stopped my meds and now I am just waiting to get AF and on June 12 I meet with the RE to come up with a new plan.

Efhoping2010 – 6/4 - Well after all that planning, DH has important meetings and cannot miss per his work, any time in July, so now we cannot have our fresh IVF/ICSI #4 in July. I am really sad about this. We need a fresh PESA at ER, I need that 10% higher success rate it could give us so using frozen sperm not at ER is not an option. So DH says maybe August or November, since we have to plan being out of state and time off of work and babysitting.

emwaiting - 4/16 - We just did IUI #2 yesterday so in the 2WW at the moment. The u/s looked great with the sizes and number of follies but it has many other times so trying not to get my hopes up. The procedure itself went well and just a little achy today. Hopefully we will get a miracle in a couple weeks otherwise we are going back to IVF since that worked for #1. We just don't know when we will go back to the IVF because of the price tag on it!

fullfhope – 6/4 - I have my follow up with RE on 6/12.

itsmevkb - 5/29 - I am lining up what feel like a million appointments in preparation for what will hopefull be a FET this summer. So far I've see my endocrinologist and my thyroid as of right now is good. I have an appointment next week with my hematologist to discuss the wisdom of taking estrogen giving my history of a DVT, then at the end of April I'll go back for another pap test which had better be good and then it's on to the RE for whatever testing they will do. I have August in my head as to when I'd like to do the FET but I know that will be here before I know it (as I watch snow/sleet fall outside.)

Jenny935 - 6/4 - Did stim shot #1 tonight. Had to keep saying "It doesn't hurt that much! It doesn't hurt that much!" before I did it, but I managed to stick it in with minimal drama. Tomorrow will be easier. No monitoring until Saturday after my 3rd night of stims.

kmc84 - 6/4 - Today was my ER with a whopping 18 retrieved! I still am in shock with that number! I'm pretty uncomfortable right now....hopefully my belly feels better tomorrow! I'll post when I get the fert report tomorrow!

LauraBeth1401 - 6/4 - No real update for me. Meds are ordered and FET and lining check are scheduled. I start meds on 6/25.

luvboston - 5/29 - I can't believe I am writing this, Sunday I start Humira in prep for baby #2

Mayzie15 – 6/4 - My U/S is tomorrow and I'm absolutely terrified. I've wracked my brain about what they will or won't see. My appt is late tomorrow afternoon so work will drag by. My OB is very concerned this could be an ectopic pregnancy which scares me more. I'm really trying to remind myself that "whatever will be, will be" so much easier said that done.

mg0202 - 5/29 - I'm on CD4 and our appointment is in two weeks!

Pam MG - 5/7 - DS IUI tomorrow, feeling really crampy tonight which I am going with is a good thing. We have 3 eggs this time unlike the only one last time.

STL34 – 6/4 - Baseline was this morning. I'm still waiting to hear from the nurse as to whether we are a go to start meds tonight! I hope she calls soon!

trigirl79 - 6/4 - Beta was negative on Tuesday. We're taking a break in June, I'll do temps and OPKs but no meds. AF arrived yesterday, which is actually good news since hopefully it means my body is finally regulated.

MoFree - 5/29 - I am going to the RE for b/w and u/s and whatever else I need to do for my next IVF. As I previously mentioned, not looking forward to results of DH's SA. He is not the least bit macho but MFI is such an affront to his masculinity.

Cwhitaker27 - 3/12 - 25 weeks today. Had my GTT on Monday. I haven't heard anything back, so far no news is good news. Continuing to be team green!

Eve_Angelique - 4/11 - Saw my little lady for the 4th time today, 2 weeks ago when I had my u/s they didn't get good enough pics of her spine, so I had another today, it was so good to see her squirming around in there!

Kdfecarie, EDD 8/29/14 (CS 8/22/14) - 5/29 - passed my GD test with flying colors, and i am chugging along to 3rd tri in a few days! Almost 28 weeks! Its going so fast, i cant believe it!!!

carrera317 – 4/30 - Wow. I guess I've been MIA for a while! 22 weeks here and doing ok. It's finally starting to settle into my infertile mind that I just might bring this baby home! Freak out time!!! All tests and our ultrasound have looked great. We went on a nice vacation to the Caribbean for our 10 year anniversary and now are starting to prep for this new one. It looks like I'm amongst good company with a due date of 9/2 but a probable c section the week before (just not the 29th cuz that's MY birthday!).

Kissies - 4/30 - So I'm 23 weeks now, went to ob this week and my b/p starting to elevate 130/90. I had her check my other arm and it was normal. The elevated arm is the arm I have carpal tunnel in and of course the 3 blood pressure checks made it act up! I got labs done as baseline and all looked good and urine was negative. Still on makena to prevent preterm labor (hate it makes me super emotional and cry like 24 hrs after taking it weekly). I'm afraid I'll be a nervous wreck come 28 weeks because that' when my water broke last time. Trying to stay calm and keep that blood pressure down

) I go back next week because of blood pressure.

LeoLauren - 1/15 - It's official. BFP x 2! Omg (what I'll be saying a lot for the next 7 months)!

Mnerani – 6/4 - Hard week. Hosting a 300-person international conference in West Africa, missing my baby terribly, my belly and back have broken out in hives from stress, and now I'm sick. Also, we move from Kenya to the U.S. in about a week and our mover just changed our shipment date. But, I'm feeling little baby kick more and more, which is majorly joyful and I'm looking forward to my life slowing down a little bit so that I can enjoy this pregnancy.

Ironmom2be - 4/2 - My update is I'm in limbo between RE & OB. First OB appt isn't for another two weeks. Since I was still spotting last week, my RE offered to have me come in for another u/s, so that's next tuesday (9w) I'm feeling ok, seems like exercising is causing the spotting (my scientific study) so I'm trying to balance staying active enough that I don't feel like a slug and doing too much to cause spotting. I'm tired and nauseous (at times) so I'm just counting my blessings and hoping the 1st tri is over asap so my worries can hopefully fade a little

BabyKsMommy - EDD 11.27.14 - 4/16 - Well we have twins, both with a fetal pole. There also is an empty sac so we are going back on Friday to see how everything looks..

ccam - EDD 11.29.14 - 6/4 - Nothing much to update! I had a good appointment last week and heard the beautiful hb. I'm 14w4d today and feeling a lot better than I was a few weeks ago.

Pennylane26 - EDD 11.26.14 - 6/4 - Feeling really good, officially in 2nd tri. Honestly, so busy with G sometimes I forget I'm pregnant and DH forgets all.the.time. He asked me if I wanted to go out for drinks this weekend. ahem, nope? It's so different with a LO at home. I'm so excited for G to be a big sister!

srveatch – 5/15 - The results of my thyroid panel came back and they say I have Hyperthyroidism. Apparently it can make your MS worse than normal. I have been pretty sick lately and I am pretty freaked out about what this means for my pregnancy. I have an appointment with the Endocrinologist on Wednesday.

mdiblasi10 - 6/4 - I'll be 6 weeks on Saturday and we have our weekly ultrasound on Friday. I'm looking forward to it. It still doesn't feel real that I'm pregnant.

Babies are HERE!!!

Saraevh - Noah Christopher was born on December 3rd at 8:01am via c-section. He was 7lb 7oz and 19.5" long!

Cinciem - Wyatt Talbott S. was born on December 7th at 4pm, med free

Alie05 - Welcomed twins!

CallMeAl - Welcomed a 7lb 8oz, 21inch long baby boy on 2.22.14 at 4:27pm!!

I checked in last week but I haven't been added yet. We are officially trying this cycle. I am CD 3 and worried that my last 2 cycles I only had an 8 day LP. I am still trying to wean DS so hopefully it will lengthen out.
QOTW: I am embarrassed to admit, I am reading the 2nd 50 shades book currently. A few pages of that mess is better than ambien

I took another humira shot with less symptoms. I started back on my meds that hopefully will make me start ovulating again.
Q: I just reread outlander for my book club and now on to the new book. I read at stop lights, while I rock the baby, 5 mins before my eyes close.

I'll be 8 weeks on Friday and I am feeling awful. I really hate to complain because I am so, so thankful to be pregnant. Yesterday I had an awful migraine and couldn't keep anything down, not even water. Today is better. I am very happy though that she's letting me know she is there and thriving.

ETA: I just noticed my EDD wasn't listed. It's 1/30/15

QOTW: I barely find time to read, but I just started Gone Girl. I usually read in the evenings before bed, but I've been too exhausted lately.

I started provera Monday to bring on AF. Once she shows, I'll schedule my HSG. DH is supposed to call today to schedule his semen analysis and he's doing b/w Monday. Once all of this is complete, we will put a plan together and wait on the money part.

QOTW: I don't make much time to read these days. I should, especially since I'm out for the summer but I don't.

Update: BFFN AF showed up 2 days before beta.

I did a CD 3 visit today and I am starting BCPs for an FET of our frosties.

QOTW: nothing right now. I bought Divergent months ago and never started. When I do read, I read after A is in bed at night and I'm waiting for DH to get home.

I'm 7 weeks 2 days today. We saw the heartbeat yesterday which was amazing after all the beta hell. EDD is 02/01/15. I have no morning sickness which is so strange because with my son I had it from 7 weeks until me 5th almost 6 month and I know it could show up at anytime.

QOTW I love my kindle but the books have stacked up on there and I'm an avid reader, but haven't read in at least a year.

Thanks for taking over luv! Glad to hear you're handling the humira a little better!

Update: Met with MFM this week. I always go into appointments feeling hopefully and optimistic and leave feeling anxious. I love my OB and I know the doctors are just doing their job of keeping my realities in check (GD/HBP/Pre-E etc), but I wish I could just focus on the fact that right now, I'm feeling good and my levels are great!

QOTW: I'm such a bookworm, but I don't have time to read! Working from home sucks up all the free time. I did finish the entire Divergent series on vacation in April, we go away again in July so I'll download a few more on my kindle for then!

Update: DS and I just got in from Kenya, after 36 hours of travel. Never. Again. Just glad that's over. In a couple of weeks, I meet my new OB and learn all about pregnancy and delivery in the U.S.

QOTW: I have three Kindle books that I'm toggling between, my favorite being A Million Miles in a Thousand Years: What I Learned While Editing my Life by Donald Miller. Highly recommend it!

Update: I am 16w5d today. Feeling great, just completely beat by the end of the day! Next regular OB appointment is next Thursday.

QOTW: I am not reading anything right now, but my most recent reads were Unbroken (not my usual kind of book but really interesting), We are Water and the Husband's Secret. When I do read, it's usually on my lunch break at work or right before bed.

Update: I am 16 weeks today and feeling so much better! I had a check up yesterday and BP was a little high but I hadn't been taking my meds.. Bad move I know. I feel good though and am confident it will come down.
QOTW: I enjoy reading but don't seem to have the time. I love seeing what everyone else is reading so I can get ideas for when I do have time

Update: Will either have IVF ODWU at CCRM in July or IVF pretesting at Clinic 1 in July. I told DH we are taking a road trip to one of the two clinics in July so we are doing something to move forward. Any thoughts on which I should pick, aside from the money since clearly Clinic 1 is much much less $$$$. With Clinic 1 it would be fresh IVF and a 3dt. With CCRM is would be IVF and then CCS testing and later FET.

QOTW: I am into classics lately when I have time, I am currently reading Cecilia by Francis Burney

We transferred a 10-cell compacting 3-day embryo yesterday. Beta is in 2 weeks. Praying this works because it will most likely be our last IVF attempt.

QOTW: Right now I don't have time to read. Or at least, I have very little time. So, I have been listening to audio books. When possible, I switch back and forth from listening to reading. Currently I am listening to the newest book in the Outlander series, "Written in My Own Heart's Blood."

@efhoping2010 Good luck with your decision! My opinion is to do the genetic testing with a later FET. Perhaps that is because my RE is a huge proponent of it and/or because I had success with that protocol. When considering the cost, remember that you could potentially spend the same amount with multiple failed 3dt's. That could have easily happened to us - I had four embryos make it to day 5 and the one graded the lowest on a visual scale was the ONLY normal one! It's crazy how that can happen.

ETA: I should add that I do not have the same diagnosis as you so I'm sure that can play into a 3dt vs. 5dt. Whatever you decide, wishing you the best!

Today I read "The Good Nurse" which was about a serial killer nurse about 10 years ago in NJ/PA - not the greatest thing to read while you're at the mercy of the medical world, but it was interesting.

We are currently off all meds and just seeing what will happen on our own. Praying for that little miracle to happen. You know be one of those that can say "it will happen when you quit trying!" ha I will be 6 wks tomorrow from my last period so that is frustrating that it won't come on it's own. If it isn't here in another week then they will do a blood test to make sure I'm not prego and then do the meds to start my period. Kinda hard to have that miracle without my period or ovulating. We had to do IVF to get our DS so we are thinking we will have to go down that road again so time to save $$ again! Good luck to everyone!

Monday I am going in for a mock transfer and hysteroscopy. Hopefully, that will all go well and then I will return in late July for bloodwork and to begin estrogren for a FET mid-August. I'm really, really nervous.

Update: 30 weeks pregnant! Where is the time going???? Everything so far so, baby is measuring a touch small... Quite a flip from measuring 3 weeks ahead in the eArlier days!

cant wait to meet this baby, and know we are safe and sound in my arms!

QOTD: i am not reading right now, trying to finish baby blankets for new baby and evening is my only down time, but when i do read i prefer "dirty" books! I love the man and woman find each other deny the heat then burn up the sheets, oh and there can be some sort of conflict involved...

i miss reading...
