I'm flying solo with 2 for the first time! Mh will be OOT till Friday. I'm outnumbered, help! I'm really nervous about it. Wish me luck y'all! Any tips?

Think outside the box, let the house go, and its okay if baby cries a bit while you take care of E.

. Ive also make a snack table with snacks and drinks left out for my toddler to grab readily. Oh and nap when you can because you will be exhausted from flying solo. Has E still been with her sitter while you are on leave? You can do this.

Yes, we had the nanny today, and Thursday. So that'll definitely help! Bedtime is my biggest worry, but we all took early baths today so we don't have to try to squeeze that in tonight during P's witching hour. I have easy dinners ready to heat and eat. Too bad it's also the middle of the 3 week growth spurt!

My Dh works evenings and it was definitely an adjustment learning to put both kids to bed myself.

When the baby was really little, I would wear her while I put my older one to bed and then I would just hang in the living room watching dumb tv while I nursed and rocked my crazy screaming colic baby. It gets better, but you can do this.

@CarrieB.‌ I'm going to have to try wearing her tomorrow while I put E down. Tonight E was so upset about daddy not being here, she screamed the whole time too. And has been waking up every 30 minutes screaming. Wth kid?

Don't do anything but dishes and what laundry you absolutely have to. See if a friend can stop in for a half hour so at least they could deal with one kid or shower. Or if you have great friends do laundry:)
Don't text or take calls that are not emergent. Order takeout for yourself!

Good luck! It will be hard and a little crazy at first, but by the end of the week you will have such a system down that you will be full of so much pride that you can do pretty much anything.

Bring it on world, I can do this! (But please send my H home soon, because it is so much easier doing it with someone.)

We set V's snacks up on the lowest shelf of the pantry and the bottom shelf of the fridge so he could get to them. That was helpful when he decided he was hungry and I was in the middle of poop explosions or feeding both of the babies. We also had activity boxes handy wherever we were hanging around in the house, stocked with crayons, paper, supplies for sorting games, books, etc. And I was happy to stick an episode of Baby/Little Einsteins or Baby Babble into the DVD player to entertain V for 30 minutes.

The twins were colicky early on and started their evening crying around 6:00 (it was awesome). Wearing them wasn't an option for me since there were two of them, but I think that can definitely work for you. Sometimes, I put them in their cribs, turned their soothers on, and accepted the fact that they would cry for a little while when I put V to bed. I knew that they were in a safe place, and that was the best I could do.Their crying really upset him (and his room is right next to the twins'), so I would turn a sound machine on in his room and close the door while we read.

You're an awesome mom, you'll be great! I have no suggestions, sorry. Well besides outsourcing for help. The one time Grant went away I had my mom stay over to help with Hannah.
