Project Life for Baby Book?

I remember reading in another thread that some of you were using Project Life which I had never heard of before. I checked it out and think it would be a great way to make a baby book.

Are you using regular Project Life or Digital?
Do you order the products directly from Becky Higgins or do you purchase them from other vendors like Amazon?
How is the quality of the products?

Re: Project Life for Baby Book?

  • I've been using project life for about 3 years now, and love it! I do paper, just because I like being able to put daily life things in (cards, art, hospital bracelets, etc.).

I bought my first two baby girl editions from amazon, but most of the core kits for our family albums have come from hobby lobby so I can use their 40% off coupons (they don't sell the full baby editions in store). The only quality issues I've had have been during transitional periods (switching where products were being produced, etc.) and they've been resolved quickly. The company itself is so great with feedback on their Facebook page.

This little guy's baby edition was purchased from her new shop directly during one of their sales....I'm so excited to break it out!

  • This is the first I've ever heard of this. I'm big on scrapbooking but I love this idea! Seems like it may be a lot easier/manageable for first year with baby. How does it work? Do you purchase a kit ? Is it all done online? Sorry for the dumb questions- but I am intrigued!

  • Btw @zoegirlTX‌ I love those pages you did! That is how I like to scrapbook, with little desecriptions/journal entries here and there. Looks so fun!

kiley820  yup watch that video.  the concept in general is that everything is a standard size 4x6 or 3x4....tons of differnet layouts & things can get more complicated by adding tons of other sizes.  But in general, all the real/physical scrapbook items come in those sizes & photos are easily printed in those sizes.

If you are snazzy with photoshop, then digital may be an option & it adds tons of flexibility IMO.  I would never get a physical set done & I am a photo nut- taking dozens every week, so I need to make collages and put multiple pics in each "slot"

There are many companies that are jumping on the "pocket scrapbooking" band wagon & duplicating the PL supplies.  in the digital realm, the possibilities are endless.

When I get home, I'll photograph my baby album that I've et up.  In addition to our weekly album, i wanted to have a special book, filled with a page of journaling & pic for each week.  So I did a mini-album & I figured it would be nice to journal each week (instead of typing).
