I'm kinda glad I live in a climate where we still have some time before beach days happen! If me, I'd just cover with a light blanket - then again, DD refuses all covers. :-)
My little guy also hates being covered and gets distracted so is constantly popping on and off. I'd probably pump on the way since I'm a couple hours from a beach and bring some stored milk in an ice chest and use a sippy. There are times LO really wants to nurse and those times I can usually just use a light blanket over my hand and just hold it right in front of my boob so he's not fully covered but if he decides to pop off I can cover real quick without worrying about my top. I hope that makes sense lol
I tried my best to cover with a towel and nursed her. No one really paid any attention and it was surprisingly easy with my swim top to just whip it out when needed.
Nurse wherever you want. I can't imagine anyone being offended by part of a boob showing at the beach of all places. Or anyone even noticing. Pumping would probably be easiest in a car since it's less discrete and the sound draws attention
EPer - We always park in the same area which is a short walk from the beach. It's a simple walk to the car to pump if I'm there long enough to need to do so. I have the car adapter, turn on the car, blast the A/C and pump in the backseat with my nursing cover on.
I'm someone who has never been comfortable nursing in public. I admire those who do but I just can't. I feel like I could at the beach though. I hadn't really thought about this as I'm not much of a beach person but if and when we do go I think I would just do it.
