I voted "meh". It's not an Oscar winner, but it was cute and it cheered me up when I felt like death in the first trimester. It's not my usual type of movie though and I likely wouldn't have watched it if I wasn't KU.
I really liked it I cried during the part where she is giving the speech. I cried because at the time I was I'm so much pain from 'normal pregnancy pain' which turned into gallbladder issues. To me it was like, 'yeah! Being pregnant sucks so bad!!'
I liked it...it made me laugh and entertained me. Plus it's fun to watch pregnant. I actually got it when DH and I were still trying and it made me sad-happy.
Loved it, I def laughpeed through this movie! Although some scenes were really sad, altogether I thought it gave a pretty good perspective on "what to expect" generally.
I didn't "Love it" but it was better then "Meh". I found parts funny and not other parts. I do agree though, the time line didn't add up and that kind of bothered me. I did enjoy Banks and her "step-mom's" completely different experiences of pregnancy and labor. One got all the "bad" and the other got all the "good."
I watched it before I was pregnant, and I thought "meh." But I watched it about a month ago and I really liked it. Is the girl from the food truck the same actress from House of Cards?
We went to see it while I was pregnant with DS. I liked that they showed all sides of pregnancy/ttc. The loss, the actually trying, the IF'er adopting. And obvs the not trying. It wasn a buzzkill, it was realistic. Though overall it wasn't a great movie and I've never cared to watch it since. I just liked that it touched all angles.
I keep thinking about the part where Elizabeth Banks goes to the party carrying her ginormous bottle of Tums. I actually took my bottle of Tums with me somewhere the other day.
N14 November Siggy Challenge - Straight up Celebration!!!
I agree with pp, It was no knocked up. Other pregnancy movies I like besides knocked up... Juno, baby mama, father of the bride part II, and as a child I have fond memories of the movie Junior. Lol I'm going on a pregant movie marathon later today I think.
I liked it! I went to the actual movies to see it when I was pregnant with DS although I cried at the loss and when they gave birth, not cool to cry in public!
I watched it a long time ago and liked it but I watched again pregnant and really loved it more now. Anna Kendrick's part really didn't kick in for me until after I had my miscarriage. I can really relate to her character's sadness now. And I feel like an Elizabeth Banks lol I had more misconceptions about pregnancy than I realized. to each their own though.
I will say that I have not seen a movie that can top "Knocked Up" yet.
I watched it yesterday for the first time!! I LOVE Rebel Wilson so I was excited about that. I thought it was good but like Knocked Up and Baby Mama better. Baby Mama is one of my all time favorites!! Look Whose Talking and Three Men and a Baby/ Little Lady is other favorites.
Did anyone else find yourself eye rolling the "step mom" because of her perfect pregnancy with no symptoms? I know it's just a movie but I hated her. Biotch!!

OMG and her delivery was so easy...as IF!!! Then at the very end when its showing all of them happy with the babies they delivered it shows her and DH with the twins crying in a nursery. That cracked me up!
I voted "haven't seen" and then realized that I actually did. It was the first movie DH and I saw when we were marathoning various baby movies after having found out we were expecting. One of the better baby movies but not great. I do enjoyed watching Elizabeth Banks though.
I loved it! I also love love love Elizabeth Banks, she's freaking hilarious. And the dads group was so awesome...!
I watch it whenever it comes on the movie channel, and cry like a baby every time J.Lo and her hot hubby are handed their baby in Africa (I think it was Africa? Haven't seen it for a while). Gets me every time.
I enjoyed the movie, we watched it when we were still TTC. It got a Love It from me based almost solely on the scenes with Cameron Diaz and Matthew Morrison from Glee. I loved their whole story line. I also liked Dennis Quaid's story line with his son.
N14 January Siggy Challenge - What Sucks About Work
great movie to have on in the background as you do laundry and stuff (THANKS NETFLIX!). As the rest of you ladies noted, the timelines drove me crazy too.
I grew up in ATL so it was fun seeing Piedmont Park and other places in a bunch of the scenes.
I loved it, the time line was kinda screwy and that kinda annoyed me but over all it was a really good movie I actually watched it the other day. Anything pregnancy when Im pregnant makes me happy tho.
For anyone who hasn't seen it, you can stream free on Netflix!
It got horrible reviews but I was bored and decided to watch it. It wasn't horrible and I was entertained. Agree with everyone else that Elizabeth Banks rocks!
Re: What To Expect When You're Expecting Movie?
I voted Meh, because the timelines didn't all mesh. I am a hater.
DH makes fun of me, but I like the movie.
