Update to medical mess

Saw the nurse practitioner today. (I have been bleeding since giving birth) Biopsy was normal so doc thinks the bleeding and tissue is pieces of placenta. (I thought that was being tested but it wasn't.) Doc is going to put me on progesterone for 14 days then off 14 days for three months and hope that clears all the placenta out by forcing my body to get a period. If that doesn't work, I need a d&c. Ugh! Almost seems easier to just have the d&c! I just wish my body could do something right.

Wow that is awful. I hope that the progesterone works for you so that you don't have to have a D&C but it does suck to have to wait and see and it might not even work. Good luck!

@jazelsmomma - I agree - I just want it over not dragged out for 3 months and doesn't guarantee it will work -except I had a D&C after a mmc too and ended up with asherman's syndrome (scar tissue) which happens under 8% of the time, so although the chances of it happening again is rare, I am scared of that happening again.
