While I was camping I read the thread where a few of you were talking about bagels and cream cheese. I instantly started craving them. Like immediately.

So I bought some along with veggies cream cheese. Guess what I'm having for lunch? I made 2 and have no regrets.

Omgggg sesame bagels & cream cheese were literally all I wanted when I was pregnant with DD1! I can't get enough of them this time around, either! Soft pretzels are also a favorite.

My very first pregnancy craving with DS1 was an onion bagel, with cream cheese and sliced bananas on top. I never actually ate it, but it sounded SO good.

I had a turkey & cream cheese bagelwich on an everthing bagel for lunch today and it was so good, I bought two packs of bagels on my way home, only to find this thread. I guess I'm not alone- ha!

Why are we passing up the lox?
Probably because lox is smoked salmon. It could contain listeria and possibly because it has such a large amount of salt. But in general smoked fish is not considered safe during pregnancy. You could however buy the smoked salmon Philadelphia cream cheese spread since it's pasteurized.

Lol...I know what lox is (I'm a Jewish girl from NY). I've never avoided it before, so I'm probably not going to start now...I was just wondering what the logic was.
