nbr....water

We are in the middle of an awful thunderstorm system tonight. Dh and I wake up since its so bad and our bedroom window is leaking. Go around the upstairs and 1more is. I go downstairs into the dining room and completely wipe out. Like feet in the air landing flat on my back. Yepp dinimg room and kitchen have water on the floors too. Best part is the water leaked thru the floors
to our basement. Awesome.

I am gonna be one sore and pissed off momma tomorrow when I call pur builder. And then the chiro... (House is just about 7 montjs old. Shouldnt be leaking!) Vent over...

  • sorry! It was storming here bad last night..it was so loud. Im so glad it did not wake up LO or I would have been mad..
  • Ugh. I hope they fix it.
  • If the house is only 7 months old, I hope your contractor pays for (and repairs) all of the damages.

  • My H has been in residential construction his whole career - he oversees the project managers who manage the building of new homes. Sounds like you had a crappy window install. New homes go through so many inspections that it's likely a product or installation issue, not necessarily your builder (who is clearly responsible for everything), but likely less their fault and more of a subcontractor screw up. I'd ask for ALL windows to be replaced, plus the damages to floors, carpets, ceilings, etc.

Found out that all 6 houses had some sort of water damage On our street. We have to call our insurance company tomorrow but dh is going to first check with window company to see if they will foot the deductible.
