QOTW: Favorite way to eat summer veggies (I admit, this one is for me as I am struggling to come up with GD friendly recipes that DH will eat).

I like fresh summertime fruits. Veggies are great fresh. So beside the extreme heat of the summer. I enjoy the fresh food.
Getting tested this week and will find out if I can officially join you guys (I had GD with DS1).
I made this recipe yesterday and it was delish! Other than the tortellini, it was GD friendly and had lots of veges in it.

I'm generally not picky about how my vegetables are prepared as long as they're cooked. My stomach doesn't like raw veg very much. My husband made his ginger chicken soup the other day, which is mostly kale, zucchini, onions, carrots, celery, ginger, garlic, and a little chicken. I love it!
Mine is usually 85-95. They don't like it to drop below 70 so I'm surprised by that.
@MRSclark08.....I have the same 3 high risk factors. With the GD diet I have lost between 5 to 7 lbs. So it can be a good thing.
Like I said earlier. It will be hard to get used to, but once you get the hang of it. It becomes second nature.
I am good on the diet. I am just a rebel when it comes to testing. I have even gone to the extent of putting my meter in the kitchen so I remember and I have not tested today. So time to get my butt in gear and just do it. I have to remember that it is not about just me any more. I am carrying another human that I effect. Just needs to take effect in my brain.

Ok, I did a quick Google search and 24-28 weeks in the normal range for them to test for GD. Could be that they are just being cautious and are testing you on the early side of the range. Was your first a bigger baby? Do you have other risk factors?
I googled the risk factors and the only one I can think would apply to me is that I'm half black.

Any suggestions on snacks?
