How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you? 20 weeks- halfway there! Banana
How are you feeling? Pretty good!
Favorite moment of the week? A/S last Thursday and finding out that everything looks healthy, huge relief! Also finished registering on Sunday so glad I can stop obsessing about picking baby stuff.
Least favorite moment of the week? Last Friday I had a mini-meltdown while calling daycare providers. I can't find any centers or in-home providers with anticipated February availability, and I started to freak out and then got all upset that I even have to use daycare because I really just want to quit and stay home for a year or 2. Unfortunately it's not an option because I carry our health insurance (which is awesome and cheap) and H's employer only offers expensive options with crappy coverage. The whole thing is really stressing me ut.
How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones? No real symptoms right now, still kind of tired but definitely better than a month or 2 ago. Can't complain!
How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests? Between a good A/S and feeling the baby moving daily now, I'm actually feeling great. Thanks for the good thoughts last week!!
Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to? Next appointment is mid-July.

How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you?
14wks = lemon! That's SO's last name so it's a fun fruit to have!
How are you feeling?
Feeling pretty good these days! Allergies are kicking my butt today, though.
Favorite moment of the week?
Getting logistical stuff done for the move! Got our move-in date set, truck reserved, one-way plane tickets back for the friends that are helping us drive up our cars (life saver!), etc.
Least favorite moment of the week?
Friday was a stressful day with lots of things to do and too little time to do them. We managed to make it through the day but it was probably the most stressful day in the last 6 months.
How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?
Nosebleeds are an almost daily occurrence and back ache is setting in. Nausea is lifting; only one or two waves a day now.
How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?
Doing well right now.
Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?
Scheduled my first appointment with my new OB in Kentucky for July 3rd! I'll be 16weeks then and we'll be starting my 17P injections. Definitely not looking forward to weekly shots, but I am hopeful that they'll keep me cooking to full term and *fingers crossed* off of bed rest.

Favorite moment of the week?
Spilled the beans to some girlfriends who were so excited for us.
Least favorite moment of the week?
I'm on a trip to dc right now and basically the whole trip out here was my least favorite. M/s + planes = blech
How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?
Hanging in there. Starting to show and that helps
Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?
16 wk check up next wk. I'm excited it looks like I'll make it to that appt without breaking down and buying a Doppler. DH pretty much begged me not to bc he thinks it would upset me.
~*~*~*GTKY questions:~*~*~*
Have you had any weird food cravings or aversions?
Lots of aversions, not many cravings so far. Although last week I was craving thanksgiving dinner. All of it!
How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you?
8 weeks, raspberry
If you’re far enough along, are you having a boy or girl or are you team green? (This is to update the list, so if you’re already on there no need to answer again!)
Team Green
How are you feeling?
Ok.
Favorite moment of the week?
My first u/s last Wednesday! It went great and was such a relief to see the heart beating away.
Least favorite moment of the week?
Nothing awful really. I worked night shift over the weekend and didn't get much sleep the first two days, so I was exhausted.
How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?
Nausea comes and goes, but at least no vomiting so far. My symptoms are getting more intense like I would expect. I've been having dreams about food now , which is new. Haha.
How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?
I'm feeling a lot better after the last ultrasound, but PGAL brain keeps sneaking in. I'm trying not to let myself think about all the things that could go wrong.
Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?
I had my nurse intake appointment last Friday and the first prenatal appointment with my doctor tomorrow.
~*~*~*GTKY questions:~*~*~*
Have you had any weird food cravings or aversions? Cravings- cottage cheese, which I strongly used to dislike. Plus, all the cheese and salty food !

If you’re far enough along, are you having a boy or girl or are you team green? (This is to update the list, so if you’re already on there no need to answer again!)
WE ARE TEAM PINK!!!! At our elective ultrasound on Wednesday the tech asked if we wanted to know, she was absolutely positive so we said yes; then I had my u/s tech friend double check and she confirmed it is for real a girl. We call the baby TRex, so below is what we mailed our parents to reveal the results of our u/s. It was very cute, we got photos back of both dads holding the TRex in a tu-tu. The pics of smiling dads were so similar we decided to out the sex on Facebook, so we posted the pic below, and both of the dads' pics with the caption "TRex has a very special announcement. SHE would like to say Happy Father's Day to her favorite Grandpa and her favorite Papa!"
How are you feeling?
Mostly better today, I was very crampy yesterday - see below.
Favorite moment of the week?
I had 2 this week. Seeing TRex on u/s and finding out she was a girl was really special. Also, Lucy the puppy came home!
Least favorite moment of the week?
Ugh, yesterday, just all of yesterday. As I mentioned above I was really crampy yesterday and it freaked me the ^#@& out. I called my OB and they had me come in for a check. I was a hot mess. I was so scared that they were going to give me bad news. TMI alert - when I did the pre-appointment pee in a cup, my undies were quite wet - I suspect from nervous sweat - but I was terrified that my water had broken and I was losing the baby right then. They did an u/s and everything looked just fine, baby was good, cervix was good length and good looking on exam. They are running my urine to see if I have a UTI, but otherwise there is no good reason for the cramps. Dr. said maybe RLP, although it really felt like period cramps in the middle of my uterus, not the side pains - so who knows. That adventure lasted until about 1pm. Then when I got home Lucy was a nightmare. She was being so very naughty and regressed very far back with housebreaking. I have never cleaned up so much pee in my entire life. She would indicate she wanted to go outside, just play when we got there (we stayed out at least 20 minutes) and pee within a minute of getting back in the door. She was also biting a lot yesterday - me, the furniture, clothes, anything she could get those wicked sharp teeth on. I was so exasperated. Unfortunately DH is on business in Montreal until tonight, so I was at home just having a one-woman pity party.
As an update, Lucy is behaving 1000x better today and we are back on track with housebreaking.
How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?
Other than weird cramping, symptoms are holding steady.
How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?
So I thought I was doing pretty well with PGAL brain, until yesterday. I don't know. I'm still feeling pretty shaken and weepy. I'm very glad DH is coming home tonight. The OB is having me come back in 2 weeks (at 19 weeks) for a cervical check again, and then my A/S is at week 21 so I'm glad that they will be keeping a relatively close eye on things. I would appreciate any spare T&Ps that the cramping is something simple like a UTI or constipation.
Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?
I am anxiously awaiting my next scan and cervix check in 2 weeks.

How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you?
9 Weeks - Green OliveHow are you feeling?
Feeling okay. Been getting headaches lately and just having an upset stomach all the time. Been able to stay awake a little later than 8:30 the last few nights which has been nice.
Favorite moment of the week?
I had my second ultrasound yesterday and passed my first milestone. Baby is doing great and actually measuring 5 days ahead of schedule now. We got to see and hear the heart beat, I cried my eyes out. That is the first time I have heard a heart beat. I got to see it move also which was very neat. Had my first OB appointment and she said everything looks great.
Least favorite moment of the week?
Prob feeling like I am going to throw up every night. Although I am still very thankful for my symptoms.
How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?
They are still about the same. Nausea, exhaustion, headaches and sore boobs.
How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?
After yesterdays appointment I am feeling much more positive. I almost find myself thinking this is the real thing but I know that I have a while to go.

@Birch113 and @rox825 have you checked what the cost/coverage would be if you bought your own on the health care exchanges? It might not be better/cheaper but can't hurt to look.
@MrsTuna08 how fun to find out that LO is a girl
@rox825 yes I'm so looking forward to feeling movement for sure. I've felt some little bubbly something's but I'm not sure it's baby. I'm also excited that next week he/she should be able to hear. I'm excited for talking more to LO and DH playing some piano for her/him.
@slensic next week is full term! Wow!

@rox825 Thanks for the check-in! And yay for being halfway there! I’m sorry you’re having a hard time finding day care. I hope that you can find something you like soon.
@birch113 Yay for 2nd trimester! I love your announcement, so cute!
@haleyusf I’ll bet it’s such a relief to have all those logistics figured out. For me, that’s the most stressful part of moving.
@megbmeg So funny that you’re craving Thanksgiving dinner. Ha! Good luck at your appointment next week.
@mrstuna08 Yay for team pink! That’s a really cute announcement! I’m sorry you had that scare. FX that the cramping doesn’t come back.
@slensic That’s great news about the NST and your fluid levels.
@samanthalaura16 Congrats on a great ultrasound!

How are you feeling?
Generally feeling pretty good. Just supremely unmotivated. I haven't cooked dinner in weeks and my work product is really just baseline competent these days. I'm so glad that July is really slow in my office. Hopefully I'll be back to my normal self by August.
Favorite moment of the week?
Saturday morning was a baby naming ceremony for a girlfriend of mine. She had suffered a miscarriage about 6 months before me and was one of my biggest emotional supporters when I had mine. It was so wonderful to see her getting to hold her baby girl and the ceremony was beautiful. I truly special moment.
Least favorite moment of the week?
We have to drive down to San Antonio tonight to see my father-in-law who is in town for a conference. We haven't even done it yet and it's still the least favorite moment of the week. My morning sickness gets pretty unpleasant in the evening so the drive home is not going to be fun.
How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?
I think I'm really lucky in that I have enough symptoms to feel confident I'm still pregnant, but not so many that I'm utterly miserable. Queasiness in the morning, evening, or if I let myself get too hungry. Still very tired, but able to stay up until a reasonable hour. Oh, and I think I'm getting pregnancy acne. :-( Not my favorite. Going to have to figure something out about that because, combined with being too tired/unmotivated to put on make-up, the acne is not cute.
How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?
It's definitely gotten a lot better. I no longer think things like "Why am I even bothering to not have a glass of wine? I'm so not really pregnant." (Note that I never actually had a glass, I just thought it.) Having seen the heartbeat twice now has really done a lot to ease my mind. Still, I will be incredibly relieved once I make it out of the first tri. 5 more weeks!
Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?
Dr. is doing another ultrasound for me a week from Monday. Just to ease my mind, not because it's medically necessary. Have I mentioned how much I freaking love my dr.!
~*~*~*GTKY questions:~*~*~*
How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you?
29 weeks
How are you feeling?
Really good.Favorite moment of the week?
I had a retirement party for a coworker yesterday. It was amazing to get to celebrate her career.
Least favorite moment of the week?
Dh is out of town for the week. Having a 3 year old and being pregnant alone is hard.
How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?
Good. I had my GD appt today and I got my blood glucose meter. The ladies who took the class with me were really complaining about having to prick their finger. It really doesn't hurt and I thought they were kind of being babies about it. Labor is nothing compared to a few finger pricks plus it will keep lo healthy.
How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?
The nurse mentioned that babies of moms with GD are at risk for underdeveloped lungs but I have to have a c-section at 37 weeks because of placenta previa. That may leave his/her lungs underdeveloped but waiting longer may cause my placenta to have an abruption.
Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?
Dr's appt in 2 weeks.~*~*~*GTKY questions:~*~*~*
@Birch113 I had hip pain about the start of 2nd tri too. I use a pillow between my knees while I sleep.
@haleyusf Good luck on the move.
@megbmeg I was about 16 weeks when I really wanted to buy a doppler too. It will only be a few weeks until you feel lo but I also know they help a lot of women feel better.
@luciddreamer16 Welcome and congrats on the positive u/s
@MrsTuna08 Congrats on the girl! Don't be too hard on yourself. I have had my freak out moments too.
@slensic- You are in the homestretch. So close now!
