TP for sure

TP to my SO. Him: "I'll get up with you and baby but I have to get more sleep asap." He's at 8 solid hours now. Didn't get up at all with baby. Not once. Guess who did? That's right, the one who's up with him now. Jackass. He doesn't even know what tired is and baby is already 3 months. Way to skate, jerk.

  • If he says ONE word about still being tired after a tight ten hours... or even if he mentions how rested he is...so many daggers heading his way. Basically, he's going to be hard pressed to win today. I'm already pissed.

  • Mine will get up in the middle of the night but is such a sound sleeper that he wakes up really disoriented. By the time he figures out what is going on and is actually useful I could have already changed a diaper or settled her down or whatever. So I rarely wake him for help.

But he has admitted that he is terrified to be left alone with her so I am pretty much stuck with her unless someone else can come watch her or until she gets a little older. He was the same way when our DS was little but once he got a little older DH was great with him.

He makes up for these things in other ways but having to drag her with me on every errand when he is home is really annoying.

  • I love getting the question from DH "did the baby wake up last night?"

This! Nothing makes me want to punch him more, the baby is screaming her head off and I hear him snoring in the other room. Can you really not hear anything? How is that possible?

    So this! All of it!

Oh yes - this drives me insane! As I wrote, DH is a really sound sleeper so in the morning he'll either ask this incredibly annoying question or he'll say "she had a great night last night, didn't she?" when she's been up three times and he just slept right through it. Makes me want to punch him.

  • Well mine offers to get up & sooth baby or re-swaddle, normally I tell him to go back to sleep. Last night I let him re-swaddle cuz LO was up every hour! What do I hear on the monitor? Him ripping the Velcro at least 4 times in an attempt to get LO swaddled tightly! Needless to say I would up having to sooth LO back to sleep when he woke up bawling due to all the Velcro being ripped open. Nice try I guess but total fail!

Here too! Seriously, how can he not hear it? To be fair, LO doesn't cry to wake me up. But since he doesn't cry I won't get up to check on him until he's been grunting for a good long while. How do you not hear those loud old man grunts going on for 20 minutes?
