  I LOVE potatoes! I was just eating hashbrown patties for breakfast, cooked in the oven because lazy, and I got curious about how the rest of the world eats them.

  
  

  But for the record, the best breakfast potato is an SS - the "Smashbrown'. Small roasted potatoes, then smashed and deepfried

  As a rule, I hate potatoes.

  
  

  My only exceptions are greasy, McDonald-esque hashbrowns and french fries. I craved those a lot when I was pregnant, actually!

  I love patatoes all ways. My top 5 food list of love goes like this.. ice cream, pizza, potatoes, cereal, bread. See how high potatoes are? I think that's pretty high. Mashed, baked, fried, hashbrowned in whatever form mmmm

  I chose patty -- like you get at McDonald's. I also like shredded, but they MUST be crispy. Soggy, limp shreds need not apply.
  
  Big chunks? Those are home fries. I'm equal opportunity, so I like them too. But I do get a lil stabby when I get served a home fry that was advertised as a hash brown.

  YES! Shredded = hash brown. Chunks of potato = home fry.

  I'm a fan of all potatoes.  Hash/baked/new/fingerling/patties/McDonald's/mashed.  My all time favorite though is the completely unhealthy, yet delicious, cheesy hashbrown casserole.
