Hoping and Praying

This is the week I've been waiting for...but I didn't see it happening quite like this. 

I expect a positive LH surge any day now and have been planning to schedule my IUI for the following day. Life has gone ahead and proved to me once again, I can plan all I want but I'm not really the one in control. 

Yesterday, one side of my family experiences great joy and another, great sorrow. On my husbands side, we were made an auntie and uncle for the 11th time when our nephew was born. On my side, my grandpa passed away after a long struggle with cancer. 

So, as we booked our plane tickets to head home for the funeral on Thursday night, it put my ovulation on a deadline. My doctor is taking me in this morning so we can do US and make sure there are mature follicles, if so they'll give me HCG and go ahead and schedule my IUI for Thursday morning. 

I had this idea of taking the afternoon off with my DH and having a nice dinner and going for a walk somewhere pretty after the IUI.....that won't be happening, in fact he most likely won't be able to be there with me since he needs the time off work to travel and we will be heading to the airport, but I can't help but think being around all my family will rub off in a happy way...most of which are very aware of what we are doing this week and were worried traveling would interfere.

Asking for all kinds of positive vibes that things look good today and I can be scheduled for Thursday!

    Good luck.  I hope your body hurries and does what you're needing it to do.  I'm sorry you won't get to have the romantic, relaxing day after the IUI today, it'll be even better to do when you get your BFP though.  I'm so sorry about the passing of your grandpa, I lost mine over 9 years ago and still miss him dearly (his death was overall pretty sudden, complication from surgery).  Congratulations on being an aunt again.

    I just got home from my RE and got the green light that I have one large and in charge follicle. I have my trigger shot for tomorrow and in for the IUI Thursday AM.

    Sorry for your loss. Happy to hear you are able to do the IUI. Fx for you!!

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    Dx: Unexplained IF, Arcuate Uterus, Minimal Endometriosis, Poor Embryo Quality
    Tx History: 1 Injects+TI, 5 IUIs, 3 IVFs, 1 FET = all BFN and full of heartbreak
    Plan: Waiting to see if our potential donor is a match for DE IVF #1


    Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
