17m/o waking in middle of the night?

My dd has started waking in the middle of the night and cries until I go in.  I have tried cio and she WILL not stop until I go in.  I hold her for less than a minute and she wants back in her crib and goes back to sleep.  She has been sttn since she was 6 months old...what gives?  Anyone else dealing with this at this age?

  • Teething? DD is 19 mos and her eye teeth are coming in, so I'm hoping that's what's causing her to stop STTN. GL!

  • ::raises hand:: The last 2 nights have been the same for us. She cries until we get her so we bring her to bed with us. After about 5 minutes she is usually ready to go back to her bed. I am fricken exhausted!!!!!  I am playing it out as teeth hopefully. She is getting her top molars in but none of her other teeth (even her bottom molars) never seemed to bother her.

  • DS wakes up at least 5X a week. I think it's teth too, but he has never been a good sleeper.

They will sleep when they are teenagers, right?? =)

  • See, I knew there was a reason I brought this problem here.  She has NEVER had any problems with her teeth( and she has a lot) so I didn't even think about that.  I do think her top eye teeth are coming in.  She has been playing with her teeth a lot lately and I bet that is what it is.  Thanks ladies.
  • I was also going to say teething probably, or maybe a little separation anxiety?  I would guess that it's the teeth that are waking her.  She needs some Mommy lovies to go back to sleep.  Poor thing.  Teething stinks.  We're in the middle of eye teeth popping through too.  No one is STTN in our house either!!

OMG!  I just realized you are another Alabama Mom!  Woo-hoo!!!  I thought I was the only one around here!
