now that our LO are getting older, have you changed the textures of the purées you feed.. I know some of the squeeze food, like happy baby, has a great texture. Usually I make my own, but I'm not sure how chunky I should be making it. I dont know if this even makes sense....
Re: purée textures..
Should I be keeping some chunks in the purée?? I just would imagine she would get confused with the purée and chunks combined...I am most likely over thinking it
Thanks ladies!
@carawasa - I know it's a new process and can be scary. Just follow your dd's cues and let her try new things as you're comfortable. She's eventually going to have to chew food to eat. My dd still doesn't have teeth, but she eats pieces of chicken, turkey, meat in spaghetti, etc. without problems.
@has615 - that's impressive that he can eat that so well! My girls want to eat EVERYTHING they see us eating but it makes me nervous. My mom scared the crap out of me because when my older brother was about this age, he choked on some really thick oatmeal and started turning blue. My grandmother had to perform cpr on him on the way to the hospital. So, that freaked me out and I have that image every time I put a piece of fruit in their hands. We've been trying table food for some time now, but every time I try to give them a larger piece of bread or something, they shove the whole thing in and gag and usually throw up, so we end up ripping them in to miniscule pieces. This whole process is so scary to me.
