My LO has arrived. I am mostly a lurker but figured I'd share my LO's arrival. I was induced at exactly 37 weeks for multiple reasons. The main reason was that I had high blood pressure and border line pre-e. Also my LO was considered IUGR with her small measurements. After two straight months of multiple appointments each week my doctors decided to go ahead and induce labor. Let's just say the labor was quick but hard labor. After my water was broke she came within an hour and lets just say there was no time for an epi. My doctor wasn't ready and told me not to push but she was in a rush and good thing. My LO, Avery Rae, arrived at 11:16am on Thurs. June 12th. She was born with a true double knot in her umbilical cord, but came out screaming and alert. This was never detected through all of my monitoring and tests. The NICU team was present in the room, but our little 5lb 5oz and 18 inch peanut had no complications thankfully. The nurses said we had a guardian angel looking over her. Avery and I are now home and working on feedings to get rid of jaundice. Hopefully she will gain some weight by our appointment on Tuesday (fingers crossed). Thoughts and prayers to everyone as we reach the final stretch and welcome all of our beautiful babies!
