New to The Bump

Hi everyone! My name is Amber and I am just over 28 weeks pregnant. My due date is 9/5/14, but at my last U.S. the tech said it was more likely 9/3/14. I have a complete placenta previa, but have had only one spotting episode. I have another U.S. scheduled for 7/23 to see if it has "moved" at all. Chances are slim that it won't and I'm sure that we will have the talk about a c-section at that time (which I am not completely opposed to). So it's nice to "meet" you all and I look forward to chatting with you!!

My due date is also 9/5/14 and I'm also experiencing placenta previa. It showed up at the 20 week ultrasound, then again at 26 weeks, and now I'm going in for another ultrasound on Thursday to see if it's moved by now. At least we get extra pics of the little one, right?

Hi!

Mine was there at 20 & 26 weeks also. I have another one a month from tomorrow. They are doing another one for you pretty quickly. I was thinking the same thing about the pictures. A friend of mine is pregnant and by the time her pregnancy is said and done she will only have 2 sets of pictures and I'll have 4. It's the small things, right? Good luck and keep me posted on your ultrasound.

Thank you so much! I know the placenta can be scary and stressful, but I have enough stress just being pregnant, so why pack on more? :-)

Good luck to you as well with your ultrasound! How far apart were your two ultrasounds where they saw movement of the placenta? My doctor told me it would have to move and then it had to be 4 additional centimeters away from the cervix. At your next U/S are they just seeing if it has moved that extra little bit??
