measuring small

Hi all :)
I'm posting to share my experience with my appt. Friday. I went in for my glucose and 3 we check up. I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant and so far so good. When my doc measured me she said my fundal height was only at a 23. 3 weeks prior I was right on track. She then sent me go u/s to have a growth scan to check on baby. He is measuring in the 48th percentile and 2.8 pounds. She was very satisfied with the results. Although it's not sitting well with me. I'm not understanding why I'm measuring so behind?

    Aw thank you for the positive feedback. Doc didn't seem worried once checking the growth scan it just didn't sit well with me. I also only gained half a pound in 3 weeks. But have gained a total of 18. I was only 109 and 5'2 @ my first prenatal visit!

    This is my 4th & I've never measued "on time" with any of my babies and went on to deliver healthy babies- most times I'm several weeks behind. Right now I'm 35 weeks measuring 31. Sometimes its closer or farther apart. My provider has never been concerned. The measurements don't matter its clear its growing (measurements can also change due to baby positioning). Not to mention I'm petite 5'1 120# (not pregnant) but I have a hourglass figure so when people comment how small I am I always say the baby hides in my hips.

    Same here if I had a dollar everytime I hear "your so tiny" I could put him through college :). I guess that's where I'm a little confused she didn't tell me the fundal height @ my last visit so I'm not sure if I grew? And now I'm worried I'm not growing.

    Yep count me in the measuring behind according to my fundal height. Also, my LO is measuring 27th percentile after the ultra sound and they are not worried but being cautious and giving another ultrasound this week to ensure.

    My doctor said "someone's gotta be under 50th percentile but we just like to make sure that the baby is just small and there isn't anything else going on". That brought me comfort

    I actually just spoke with the nurse. She told me I did NOT grow from last visit but baby did so it's okay. I've only been measured twice and both times got a 23cm. Which was on track for my 24 week visit but not my 28 :( my LO was measuring 48th percentile, but doc said she doesn't worry unless it's under 10 so 27th is just fine also. Plus I have several friends who were told they would have a small baby and that was not the case.

    First and foremost: there is NO trust in Internet source by using the bump. It is a forum to relate and conversation with other pregnant women. It is too simply discuss the issue with other moms going through a similar situation. Please do not comment with your negativity. Not needed. Thanks!

    You have no clue if I trust my doc or not. Your input is of no importance to me. Also, last time I checked something made you click on my discussion and put your not needed two sense in. Once again remove yourself from my thread and find a hobby that does not involve harassing pregnant women with your idiocy.

    This will be my last response because obviously you have a very sad life... I'm not crying to anyone nor do I need to defend myself to a pathetic human being that hides behind a computer screen. Also, how do you need a hobby? Your surfing the Internet just to intentionally start drama. Your mouth is filth I hope you are not pregnant or have children. Grow up.

    There is no filth mouth here. Your ob is not worried. How would some internet strangers who don't know you or your medical history have input more trusted or valuable to you than that of your ob? Makes it sound like you don't trust your ob. As for not understanding why you are "measuring behind" you are measuring small. That is just inherently how percentiles work; there will always be smaller babies and bigger babies.

    The whole point of my concern was no growth also. Please read the entire thread. Also, I very much trust my doc but wanted to know if other women have had a similar situation. Why is everyone ugly on this thread...Please leave the nasty comments to yourself. I've never seen so many unhappy people in my life. I was just concerned not distrustful of my doc in any way. Jeez people back off!!!!

    Plus if you could understand simple english you would see my baby is not measuring small. I AM!!! I'm well aware of different size babies. Thanks anyways. And no filth mouth??? Your reading comprehension must be on a kindergarten level...
