No milk 1 week after C-Section

I had my C-section last week and monday and have yet to produce any milk. We are going to see the LC tomorrow but I am just wondering if any other moms have experienced this. I know there is a delay in milk coming in when you have a section but I think a week post section is a bit long.

    I had a cs and yes at about week pp I had virtually no milk despite frequent feeding, pumping and taking herbs. It only improved to a certain degree with a lot of time and a lot of work. But that had nothing to do with the cs, A friend of mine who had a cs 2 days after me had a massive oversupply from the beginning. She was able to pump 3oz from each boob after feeding right away. It's an individual issue not how you give birth...

    I have been feeding every 2 hours during the day and 3 hours at night. I also pump with the hospital grade pump. I have been getting some colostrum but that's about it. I have had to give formula because of the baby weight going down (he was born small even though being full term)

    Agree with the weighed feeding. Is baby latching ok and staying there? If so, it's very likely there is some milk coming out, otherwise she'd give up and get frustrated. Week old babies need very little milk, their stomachs are still tiny. If you do give formula, be sure to pump for 15 minutes (both breasts) to replace that feeding otherwise your supply may go down.

    I haven't do fee any weighed feedings. I think that's going to be what the LC will suggest. My little one does latch on but has a complete fit after a few sucks. After trying to get him to latch I give the formula then pump each side. I have been getting only 3cc total after pumping 20min on each side.
