FINALLY bought something for the new baby! We were visiting my mom this weekend and went shopping for his coming home outfit. I loved this reversible outfit with elephants and balloons. Now I want to find a red hat to go with it:

I also found this awesome book for DS, to help prepare him for little brother's arrival:

I'm so happy that DS2 finally has something that's just his! I feel like I can relax now.

I went shopping last weekend for dd. It was my first time EVER shopping for baby clothes for my own baby!!!! So I totally get the AW post! and I love his going home outfit!

Adorable! I saw a red hat for only around $4 at Buy Buy Baby on Saturday. It was with a bunch of plain colored onesies and pants. I remember because I want it for OSU football days for this LO!

We just dropped a bunch of money on nursery furniture. But I feel good that I have something that will grow with baby boy (converts to a full bed, plus the dresser that matches is nice!)

@PurpleHippo19 It's from Janie and Jack. It's not a store I really shop in...I like not worrying about whether DS gets things dirty or destroys them, but Janie and Jack clothes are really pricy and fancy (i.e. this one outfit was $30!), and it would stress me out to dress him in those clothes often.

My aunt sends us stuff for DS from there about 3x per year, though, so I usually take the opportunity to exchange it and shop around for something I would actually put DS in or for a nice outfit for some event, for church, etc. This time, I exchanged DS' outfit for one for the new baby!

ETA: It still counts as a purchase for baby if I didn't technically "buy" it, right?

@ohioloveyou - that is the crib I wanted but DH had a mini stroke at any crib over $200! Silly man...clearly he forgot how expensive DD's was!

@MrMrsandBaby and @PurpleHippo19 thanks! DH and I splurge on furniture because we like to have things that will for sure last. I was able to use 20% off coupons on it, the dresser, and the conversion rails, so that helped SO MUCH! I love love love it.

Edited to add: I have never been to Janie and Jack, though I know we have one here. Looks like a store I need to take my mother to...

I ended up purchasing a few things for LO while I was in Paris because I couldn't resist. This is by far my favorite acquisition! All of the little stuffed animals come out of the hippo's back, and on his tummy is a big mirror. Some of the animals are rattles, and there's another toy on the hippo's tail. So cute!

We didn't buy anything yet, but we finally broke down and drove to the north side of the city to register at Babies R Us. I'll be honest, I'm not wild about the crib that DH insisted we register for, but I suppose a crib is a crib in the long run, huh?

Actually, now that I think about it, I bought a onesie back in May, but it's an 18M size...so it'll be a while before she wears it. It's adorable though. Says "I'm an Arbonne bug!" with the bug logo on it. I couldn't resist.

I bought ds1 and ds2 matching blue and yellow plaid button down shirts with grey pants. I'm going to get a yellow or blue dress for my dd and have their pictures taken. I can't wait!

I really haven't bought a lot for ds2 because I have a ton of clothes from ds1 and it's similar weather around their birthdays.

Well we bought the outfit right when we found out she was a girl, and this weekend I got some nursing bras(does that count for baby? Lol)

But also I had a gift card I had won to an online store and I ordered this weekend and got this Sophie and travel sleep sheep in the mail today. Free stuff!

Well, I can never seem to get the hang of posting pics from my phone but I bought a gorgeous antique dresser that I'm going to refinish for her dresser/changing table, and this weekend I bought a swing! The more I buy, the more real it seems. I'm hoping to paint the nursery either this weekend or next.

I just bought a ton of stuff (or should I say my mom bought a ton of stuff

) for baby this weekend. We went into BBB and my mom bought our entire layette and then some, furniture for baby's room, blankets, basinet…. I wanted to get in on the fun, so bought the mobile and lamp that are part of my baby's room theme - now I want to get it all set up

Mommy2Boys09 - My friend is bringing me a crib very similar to yours, in August and my mom just bought me a dresser/chest to match to it. I need to get a night table like you have to put a lamp on. Love your blanket and theme.
