1st Trimester

Slow Progressing FRER w/ Photo

Has anyone else had a slow FRER progression?  I'm googled the heck out of this topic and found so many different things.  So I thought I'd just post my progression and see what first tri thought :)  I haven't been paying too much attention to my cycle but I THINK I started taking these (starting at the top) at 8 or 9 DPO -- although it's tough for me to tell because I always spot for days leading up to AF and 8 or 9 DPO seems way early for a BFP.  So the bottom test is either 12 or 13 DPO.  None of them are very dark -- I'm wondering if this might be a chemical pregnancy?  Anyone have a progression like this and go on to have a healthy pregnancy?  Thank you!

  • @LnR70707, Thanks so much! That really makes me feel better!
  • Mine were very faint until this morning, 13 dpo. Today it is more of a standard positive, but even so it took a few seconds for the positive line to form. Even so, tests aren't really designed to show progression, and even those digital ones with weeks estimator are really inaccurate.

Don't judge ladies, I'm still peeing on things. I figure the tests will expire before I get to use them again, so why not? It's nice to see the two lines every morning.

  • @wintersong139, I'm happy to hear that! I (clearly) have a problem with POAS all the time and each time it takes a bit before the positive appears (but it is always within the time frame).
  • @WhoCanItBeNow, half are from one box, half from a different box...could be from the same day on the assembly line though :)
  • @Kylie, I know!  I did at first because in my first pregnancy each test got darker and it made me feel so happy to see them all nicely lined up!  Now I keep doing it because I hope each one will somehow give me that same feeling I got with my first pregnancy.  I totally understand how people get addicted to gambling -- each time hoping for a different outcome!
  • This is why you stop peeing on sticks. You're pregnant at this very moment, congratulations.

  • I pee on them for "peace" of mind. I still am having trouble believing I am pregnant, and each morning its like, "Yep, you are." Plus I already paid for them, so there's that.

  • LOL, I know, I only have two more wondfos so it is not likely that my testing craze will last long. :-)

  • @wintersong139‌ HCG levels drop off at 10-11 weeks and you can start testing negative again, just so you know.

Not necessarily. HCG doesn't zero out so, depending on the test sensitivity, it should still turn positive. The hook effect theorizes that HCG won't register on HPTs when it gets too high, not because it drops off in production.

I almost never post but JUST went through this same thing so wanted to share! I also got a faint (but definitely visible) positive on Thur (think I was 10 DPO but could have been 9). Friday is was even more faint and I also got a BFN on a digital clear blue easy test. Saturday was another BNF on digital and just as faint on FRER - I was going crazy with the uncertainty. I had blood drawn friday and sunday but don't have the results yet BUT on Sunday I caved and tested again and got a dark BFP on FRER and positive on the digital! So, it took a few days before I saw any darkening of the line but then it was quite drastic. Good luck!
  • A positive is a positive. Only a blood test can tell you where your HCG levels are. You're pregnant. Stop peeing on things.
  • @COB Thank you for your reassurance!  I'm going for betas tomorrow so we'll see :)
