Nope, I've never heard of a kid named Nancy. The name hasn't fallen off the name charts completely at all or anything, but never has been super popular.
Nope. I've actually only met a handful of people in my entire life with my name. One was a 95 year old woman who was my best friend's great-grandmother when I was 5. The other was a friend of my mom's and I never actually met her. The last was the mother of the bride at a wedding I photographed a few months ago!
Nope, I knew a couple other Angela's growing up here and there but that's it. Most of them went by Angie...ick. Sorry, no offense to any Angie's it just irks me.
I've only ever met one other person with my name. She spelled it the name, but pronounced it completely different. I think she was around my age, maybe a few years older. Every now and then, I'll meet someone who says they know someone with my name.
I know of one little girl named Rebecca who lives in the same neighborhood where I work.
Other than that, I haven't met any Becky's (under 18) since I was growing up. I know 2 other Becky's now, and my high school senior class had 4 Becky's.. which was annoying.
Names do go in cycles, but a name has to completely drop out of popularity before it can "come back" in a new generation. So names that were held by our grandparents and great-grandparents are coming back into style, but it will likely be a long time before we see another wave of the names that were very trendy in the 1970s and 1980s.
I don't, although probably 70% of the people under 18 who I know are boys. I know a handful of adults with the same name as me, but none are close friends.
I've had some students at UT with my name (Melissa), but never met any really young kids with the name. I am not around many people of the under-18 set, though!
Re: S/O POLL: Know any kids with *your* 1st name?
6-yr-old Elena and 4-yr-old Julia.
My Blog! All about my girls and quilting
Yes! Until I was about 15 I never heard anyone else with the name Alexis (except that chick on Dynasty)
Now I hear all sorts of variations of it - Alexa, Lexi, Alexandria...

Nope, not that I expect to though.

Nope...no Lisa's.
I've seen variations of it though.
