Hair Loss

Anyone else losing their hair? My LO is almost 5 months and this has been going on for a little over a month. Any tips?

  • Same thing happening here. Apparently you have to just wait it out.

  • My little one just turned 4 months and I'm still losing clumps!  Its so creepy, i hate it!
  • Normal. It's just a matter of time. Nothing else will help.

  • I have had the same problem.  I started taking Biotin and you can use Mane and Tail shampoo as well, it doesn't play nice with colored hair I have found though.

  • So normal. It will pass. My LO is 6 months and it has stopped now.

  • My little guy just passed the 4 month mark earlier this week and I've been losing hair steadily for the last month. I've been assured by friends who have been through it that it will stop and not to worry, but it is disturbing how much hair I lose on a daily basis. The drain trap in the shower looks like there's a drowned squirrel in it every time I shampoo. For now, I've been told to take good care of it. I've been avoiding using heat, and shampooing when necessary. When did it stop for other moms?

  • Same here, every time I shower or brush my hair tons of it falls and its scary. I thought at first it could be lack of vitamins but I still take my prenatals.
I read that when delivering baby the body goes thru a lot of stress that can lead to hair loss.

I didn't start losing hair until recently, and have been told it can happen anytime up to 2 years post partum.

Yep, just started happening to me a week or two ago.  Seems to make sense as I lost barely any during pregnancy.  Maybe the body is just making up for lost time!  I had my hair cut a little shorter this week so it doesn't look as thin as it did when it was long.
