So the other day I went on a power walk with a girlfriend. It was the first time in awhile I've worked out (I finally had some energy), and the girl I walk with seriously walks incredibly fast. Almost a run sometimes. I can usually keep up with her, but not right now, and there were 2 hills where I had her go ahead of me and I lagged behind.
Well, afterward, my hands totally blew up. I could get my wedding rings off in the morning, but by the end of the walk my fingers were so swollen that I couldn't get them off. They went back to normal after a few hours of sitting in the air conditioning, but it did concern me. Has that happened to anyone else? Is that a sign I need to take it easy on the workout, or is that just normal?
