Minnesota families come in....

L and I have been having major discussions about our move to Minnesota in the past few months and have set a goal of Spring 2015 to be relocated. I have not lived in Minnesota since high school so most of my friends up there are straight. Although I love and appreciate my straight friends L is worried that if we buy in the suburbs that we may have a hard time meeting/finding gay friends. So here are my two questions for you Minnesota parents.
1. Are there any gay parent/family meet ups or groups that you know of or are in? 
2. Do you have any realtor recommendations who are gay (L is determined to have this)?

    Hey There,

    Not sure how many MN peeps we have on the board these days. 

    1. I know that there ARE opportunities for gay parent/family meet-ups, I just haven't really engaged in them up until now because we have quite a few gay friends that have kids.  There is a birth education center in St. Paul (Enlightened Mama - https://enlightenedmama.com/)  that had monthly GLBT family happy hours, not sure if they are still going on or not.  This is kind of a weird offer, but I'd be willing to explore along with you when you guys get up here.  I'm always interested in doing this kind of group stuff (S, not so much).

    2. I will get a name or two of a gay relator and PM you.

    Yay!  Move to MN!!!  What suburbs are you considering?

    I'm in WI, but pretty close to the border. I don't know much about the meet-ups, but I do know that B's ex-girlfriend is a realtor in MN.  I'll check with B about what she knows about about her ex's location etc and if she wants to be giving out her name :)
