I have had a bunch of cramping in the last couple days that aren't consistent but I'm not sure if it's just cramps or if they are braxton hicks. Sometimes they will go into my back but most of the time they are in my pelvic region. My stomach doesn't really get hard and sometimes the baby will move during the pains. I'm not sure what's going on. I get the feeling like a have to (TMI) poo and then when the pain finally goes away the urge goes away. Sometimes I will walk around during the cramping and they don't go away and will keep going for about an hour and then will disappear. Is this what braxton hicks are? Or am I just having cramping at 38 weeks? How will I know when I'm actually having contractions other than timing? It makes me so frustrated that I don't know what is going on. This is my second pregnancy. With the first I was induced before I experienced anything like this so that's why I feel so lost.
Re: Cramps? Braxton Hicks? Contractions?
I guess when it's time, we'll know... they'll become timeable, more painful or don't go away with walking or resting. If they're going away after an hour, it's not time!
Last time (first pregnancy) I went into labour at 5am. Was woken up with a contraction. I knew immediately that it was real. The location was a little different, and it felt different. For the first hour or so they felt something like period cramps. You will know when you're in labour, if you are wondering, then your are not.
