POAS?

Wuudup.
I have a question for ya.
I'm on Paragard, the copper, no hormone IUD. My doc said something about how I should be getting my period 72 days post partum.

I'm confused because I know your period may not come if you are BFing, which I am, but my LO sleeps through the night, so I was kinda expecting to get mine. :/

No periods over here. I didn't have sex without a condom until day 7 of my IUD being put in, and when she checked it via U/S a month after insertion I wasn't pregnant.

So, should I POAS? If it's negative should I be peeing on sticks every once in awhile?

Sorry if this is a repeat/ridiculous question/inconvience to your day.

Thanks in advance, mamas!

I never get my period while nursing....it takes about 6 months after I stop to get my period again.
With nursing and the IUD, it's unlikely you are pregnant, but POAS never hurt anyone.
Maybe take one to confirm it's negative so you can relax?
After that, I wouldn't take them regularly. I never did when I had my IUD in.

    Thanks @karich‌
My doc just confused me that's all. I realllllllyyyy don't think I'm pregnant but I guess I could take one anyway. Dollar store, FTW.

  • Wait so if your LO sleeps through the night your more likely to start your period while nursing? Holy hell.
  • I'd buy a batch of cheap tests off amazon and pee on a stick once a month or so, but I'm paranoid.

  • I POAS at least once a month.  We do NOT need another baby, at least not right now, and definitely not unexpectedly.

  • I actually had my well woman exam today and when I mentioned I got a period at the end of March but not since the nurse teasingly asked how many tests had I taken out of paranoia.   I lied and said 3... real answer 5!   Both nurse & Dr. assured me all was fine.  Still scary.  I say pee away if it'll make you feel better.

  • I had paraguard after DD. I nursed her and didn't get my period until about 10 months after we had gone on vacation and her schedule was messed up with a three hour time change.

  • I was wondering when I should be expecting my period while BF. I know everyone is different, but I want it to be soon. I am really hoping for Irish twins since I have an almost 10 year gap between my two boys.
