North Carolina Babies

Um, thanks for the opinion

I asked DH to stop on his way home yesterday and get some teething tablets. He couldn't find them, so he asked the pharmacist. She found them, but then said "Oh, don't get those. They say homeopathic and I don't believe in homeopathic medicine, it doesn't work."

Um, well he didn't really ask you if you thought they worked, he just wanted to know where they were! So weird. DH said he just waited until she went back to the pharmacy and then bought them up front, lol.

Re: Um, thanks for the opinion

  • Yeah, thanks for the unsolicited advice.  Geez, glad you got them though.  They really do help.  We get ours at Wal-Mart if you want to avoid the pharmacist next time.

  • What a biotch.  Glad your DH was able to find them and I hope they help.  I still can't tell if they help DS or not, but we use them anyway.

  • Well, Maddie only woke up twice last night, which she does from time to time, so maybe they helped! They were out of the Hylands, so he got the Humphreys, and those supposedly don't dissolve as quickly.

I put two under her tongue and she gobbled them down! I swear she swallowed them before they even dissolved. She thought they were delish :).

  • How nice of the pharmacist to share her opinion as if it matter to you whether she believed in homopathic remedies or not. ?This kind of advice drives me nuts. ?Glad you've found them. ?I'm not sure if they work for Natalie either but I've been trying them. ?

  • Eli eats them like candy!  I don't know why, they have no taste.  But I can just hand them to him now and he'll eat them.

  • IMO, homeopathic remedies can sometimes work better than drugs, depending on the ailment, but of course a pharmacist would not agree with that. I am glad Maddie got some relief :)
  • Well, millions of little ones and their parents beg to differ, woman!  Grr! Stick out tongue

I buy our teething tablets, along with nearly all of our family's vitamins and minerals, online at https://www.iherb.com.  If you use the code AMI158 you can get $5 off your first order, no expiration!  They have an extra 10% off through the end of the year, which means just through today.  It's on my mind because I was just on their website stocking up late last night. Wink

Here's are just a few things that we have used and highly recommend:

    Hyland's teething tablets: https://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=4755&at=0

    Hyland's homeopathic kids' kit: https://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=3826&at=0

Pre-natal vitamins (I've been taking these for 3 years, but now I take just 2 tablets a day while BFing since they're expensive if you take the full 6!): https://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=3219

    Iron: https://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=1324&at=0

    And a ton more!

Their shipping is reasonable too, free over $60, and $4 flat under $60.  Sorry for the unsolicited plug, but maybe this will help a few of you.  I got all of my packaged herbs for infertility through the site, and they also have a lot of shampoos, moisturizers, and even some food.  They ship the day of if ordered before mid-afternoon, and you can avoid unsolicited advice!

  • Did he by chance stop by my OLD store?  If so I know exactly who he talked to, grrrrr.  I have since moved!  I am sorry you had a bad experience with the pharmacist - I have heard, like many others on here, that the teething tabs work great!  good luck :)
