We didn't really do anything, since according to him, he's not a dad yet. But I'm making hamburger steaks for dinner since he loves them so much.

I stole one of the ideas from a previous thread... Bought h our masculine diaper bag and filled it with goodies for daddy to be during the hospital stay: PSP, energy drink, snacks (Dad's Root beer, Sugar babies, etc) toiletries, some items for LO, and a blanket to bring home to our dog smelling of LO.

I made H a new daddy survival kit with a cute poem and then a hospital survival kit with his favorite items for when were in the hospital.

he loved it. He also got the book Go the Fuck to Sleep from my sister ahha. That was a hit

I got a massage... DH said no to MD and FD this year since we aren't technically parents yet.

Also it was his BD yesterday and I took him out for a nice steak dinner and got him tickets for Myth Busters live.

We took my dad to his favorite burger joint for lunch, then dh relaxed for a little bit while dd napped. I went and got a mani/pedi

. Then he had his favorite dinner at fuzzy's taco. He got a university of Tulsa bar stool for his work bench outside as his present.

Picnic/pool party at my dad's and it was a really nice day for it! DH got new swim trunks and a new hat. When we got home I started laundry and DH mowed the grass.

We have FI's girls this week so we took them to Turner Falls Park.. a waterfall and river that you can swim in. I also made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast

Gave DH his presents. Went to lunch with my parents, gpa, uncles, and cousins. Went to a festival with DH and DD. Went to breakfast yesterday with DH's parents to celebrate.

We laid in bed and watched Organe is the new Black:) took our poor sick puppy to the vet did laundry and picked up the house.

The kids gave him his gifts and cards and he laid on the couch all day but still helped with kids while I made him blueberry muffins and the dessert for the bbq we had at his parents house.
Now the kids are in bed and he's at a friends house and I'm laying on the couch.

H woke up not feeling well and was sick all day.

I took DS to my parents to try to let him rest a bit. Then returned a dress to Kohl's and brought DS home for lunch and a nap.

After nap time we all went out for some ice cream. DS played with his water table a bit then dinner, bath and bed.

I had a whole day planned (kind of) but since H was not feeling well, that went out the window.

DH played golf with some friends in the morning. He took DS out to play for an hour in the afternoon so I could nap, then we spent some time together as a family. I dropped H and a few of his friends for drinks and hot wings, and one of the other wives bright them home.

My favorite part of the day was bed time for DS. DH told me to go get myself ice cream and that he would do bath/bed time! It was awesome.

H was working, so I was home alone and got up yesterday morning and decided I should go see my dad. We have hit some rough patches the last few years but I figured it would be a great surprise to him. I was right, he was so surprised and it was worth the drive to go.

H worked an overnight shift on Saturday/Sunday, so we spent a few hours together Sunday morning (okay, so I napped and he watched Longmire), let him sleep so he could do another 5 hour night shift Sunday/Monday. Gave him a card (and my son gave him a card too) and a onesie and a Harley Davidson shirt for the baby. And that was it.

Oh, and I made him tacos for dinner. Because...tacos.

H and I were at Lowe's at 8am buying more stuff for the garden, then we went and bought a washer/dryer. Next was a marathon 3 hour Bradley class. We did go for Mexican and I took a sip of his Marg and almost drained the entire thing. Oops. Next year will be more relaxing and fun I hope!

DH didn't do anything for me for Mother's Day, so he didn't want to do anything for Father's Day. I told him happy incubator support day, and that was it. He ended up calking the baseboards most of the day. I skyped with my dad, who's on vacation for Father's Day and his birthday this year. We also went to the new Five Guys and ate greasy hamburgers.
