Thrush after antibiotics

While in labor I developed a fever after a nurse accidentally broke my water too early when checking for dialation. To combat infection, they put antibiotics in my IV for two days. Now my LO has been diagnosed with thrush of the tongue. Anyone else LOs experiencing thrush after antibiotics?

    @emilyh107 what did the doc prescribe you for the thrush (if anything)? Also, did you notice any symptoms on your body? Thank you for the reply!

    Yes. She was on them for a week due to a lung infection and got thrush from it. They gave us an oral medicine for her and some nipple cream gut me. Three days in and it is getting much better.

    @emilyh107 How often are you giving the Nystatin to the baby and how often do you apply it to yourself? We have been battling thrush for WEEKS. DS has been on Nystatin with no change. Pedi is not concerned and even suggested we stop treating.

    Here! I was antibiotics first and then he was for
    whooping cough. A week later..thrush. I had a strong burning and pain in my right boob.

    I was prescribed Diflucan (pill) and nystatin cream.

    DS is in Nystatin drops 4
    Times per day.
