Thoughts on participating in IVF studies?!?

So this week we have our first IVF seminar meeting then we have our individual meeting the first week in July with our RE to discuss our plan.
I was reading on our RE website regarding some studies and today the research RE called me to give me more information about their current studies. Our office is a part of a larger research based hospital with a lot of resources. They have two studies that we are interested in and ultimately if our personal RE thinks it would be to our benefit and if we qualify then we can proceed.
Have any of you been a part of any studies related to IF? What are you thoughts? We really never discussed it until I came across this info.
These are the studies that they are currently running (we would only be eligible for the top two as we aren't using DE) if you are interested or would like to chime in on your thoughts! TIA.

Went to OBGYN in August 2013-Referred us to UCONN RE in September 2013
Me (31): Blood / Ultrasound / HSG / SIS- All Great - DH (32): SA is very low
DH met with Urologist nothing is "wrong" just very low count and low mobility
RE 1st Consult October 31, 2013 - Male Infertility Dx.
RE Appointment on 1/15/14-Decided on 1st IUI
IUI Cycle #1-Clomid 50mg 2/14-BFN
We decided to take a break for 3/14-4/14
IUI Cycle #2-Clomid 50 mg 5/9-BFN
IUI Cycle #3-(RE Office called us in for a back to back IUI for another SA) 5/12-BFN
*Husband's count is still very low post wash however after 4+ months on supplements, vitamins, and a healthy lifestyle (aka no beer) his mobility has doubled! I am very happy for him, small victories!
May 2014-RE wants us to progress to IVF as 3 failed IUI's.
IVF Seminar meeting on 6/12 & then meeting with RE on 7/9 to come up with our plan for our miracle baby!

One of the studies would pay for part of the meds, this really peeked my interest because of course our insurance like many doesn't cover any IVF meds.
The other study helps with embryo selection which is incredibly valuable as well!

I am in the middle of a ivf study with RM.A N.J and my ivf was pretty much free plus they are storing my left over frosties for 1 year for free. I only paid for some medications and anesthesia during the cycle. (a little over a 1,000 oop for the cycle).
The only 2 downsides was that I was required to do a double embryo transfer and if I was in the study group where they did the sequencing the chances of multiples was up to 60%. Also I was a little more in the dark. I didn't get a ton of updates other then the Fert Report and number of Blasts. I won't get any information until after a failed cycle, I give birth, or a loss.
It was really hard for me to turn down a free ivf cycle at one of the best fertility clinics in the country since I was oop. I pretty much got a 25,000 cycle for free. I felt like I won the lottery. GL deciding and lmk if you have questions.
BFP warning........
I found out on June 2nd that my cycle worked. (Beta 575).
This past Wed I found out that both embies stuck, so I am right now 6 weeks pregnant with twins.
