My labor buddy has a new baby boy, Baylor Michael, and a very interesting birth story. Congrats Momma! @Miranda&MichaelR

"At 4 Monday morning I lost my plug 4:48 my water broke, immediately horrible back labor started. We hurried to get to the hospital an hour away my contractions were 1 min apart and we made it, barely, here at 6:01. I previously had said I wanted to try going without an epi and use alternative methods of pain management. By the time we got here I was dilated to 8 and they let me know real quick I couldn't have anything passed 7cm. My heart sank. So immediately they moved me across the hall at 6:10 I was 10 cm dilated and needing to push. My Momma made it quickly behind us, my fab ob Dr. Lady was wonderful. I was in 9 kinds of hell, after pushing till 7 they didn't tell me but his head was out and the cord had wrapped his neck and his heart rate plummeted. I pushed one more time and Baylor Michael made his appearance at 7:03! I hadn't had drugs for pain, less than 2 hrs of sleep and a whirlwind labor with possibly a cracked tailbone but happy to report a healthy boy 7lbs 13 oz 20 1/2 inches long. We are asking for prayers, I've caught a NASTY stomach bug in the hospital and I've had to supplement this morning after breastfeeding since his birth. This virus has no mercy and you may go on yourself before you realize you breathed. Hoping to go home this afternoon and that no one else gets this!"
