MTHFR?

Anyone have MTHFR? I just found out we are expecting #2 and I had to take shots and asprin for #1 but don't remember when I started taking them. Will call dr on Monday but just curious.

    I have one copy of the c mutation. My infertility doc had me on aspirin and lovenox, but my MFM took me off the lovenox at 17weeks after running a blood panel to confirm that I didn't actually have any extra clotting risk. He left me on the aspirin though. I started both meds a day or two before my frozen embryo transfer (the equivalent of 3dpo) but as I understand it- it's something that can be started anytime. Definitely bring it up with your doc though!

    Iam Hetero MTHFR, I have had 3 losses in 2 years. I have taken every blood test you can possibly think of and everything came back normal. I have seen 3 different doctors and finally decided to be seen by Shady Grove fertility. My OBGYN thinks my mutation is the cause of my problems but after she refereed me to a specialist he refuses to treat me for that mutation saying it's too common. I have read many success stores online about women taking baby aspirin and progesterone. Any success stories? All of my pregnancies have been m/c at 6 weeks. We are now TTC again and I would like any recommendations anyone has had!

    I m/c two before we found out I had mthfr and factor v. I started lovenox around 12 weeks with my son. The mfm said that the aspirin wasn't doing anything because it is clotting on the venous side not the arterial side that is the problem in pregnancy. I haven't started shots again yet but need to ask my ob about it tomorrow. Not looking forward to it!

Started extra Folic Acid and Baby Aspirin then Lovenox BFP #3 07/02/12 EDD 3/13/13 . Rainbow Baby born at 37 weeks, all natural, after 10 weeks of bedrest. BFP #4 ST. PATTY'S DAY 2014. EDD 11/25/14

    I am MTHFR Hetero. Started lovenox shots at 7 weeks with my first pregnancy and started at 5 weeks for my current pregnancy.

    I am homozygous on the C677T marker. We just found this out after my loss. We're TTA (I'm only 3 weeks post-d&c), but I'm trying to do a little research about the complication. It is scary to me, but I haven't had a chance to really talk to my OB (I'm possibly switching doctors). I'm hoping for a referral to an MFM. My OB wouldn't refer me even though I had the loss and HELLP last time (this isn't the reason I'm looking to switch).

    Anyway, wishing you all health!

    Are you on Lovenox or Heparin?

    My PCP is who dx me with the mutation. She has me on methylfolate and methylized b-vitamins. Is anyone else taking those?

    PG#1 - 3rd cycle BFP. Team Green. HELLP syndrome @ 34 weeks.
    Later diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, possible link to HELLP.

    PG#2 M/C 3/14 - Surprise BFP 2/13. Beta's doubled every 52 hours from 3w5d-5w5d
    Viable pregnancy scan at 5w5d; 2nd u/s showed 2 days of growth in 7 but a HB of 120
    3rd u/s on 3/10/14 had no HB and baby had only grown 7 days over 14
    D&C 3/17/14 - complications - DX Retroflexed uterus, multiple tears to cervix

    I'm 35 weeks with 1 mutation have been on asa the whole pregnancy so far. I've had 4 chemical pregnancies b4 finding out I had this also have hashimotos .. also on a special prenatal with the methylfolate so far so good! Did all ttests for baby and no neural tube defects as far as I know.

    I would start aspirin immediately.

    I would start Lovenox if I had the shots around, if not call OB for prescription on Monday.  
    TTC #1 12/2009
    BFP #1 1/2010, M/C 6 weeks
    BFP #2 6/2010, DD lost to     congenital heart disease, we are heartbroken.

    TTC #2 4/2011, diagnosed MTHFR, FVL
    Four natural cycles BFN; Clomid IUI BFN; Follistim IUI BFN;
    1/2012 IVF #1 BFN
    4/2012 FET BFP #3
    5/2012 7w1d u/s: anembryonic demise; M/C @ 8w.
    6/2012 found Stage II/III endo on laparoscopy, removed w/ laser.
    8/2012 IVF #2 epic fail: no viable embryos.

    Vacation, break, second opinions, on to new RE.
    1/2013 Surprise chemical pregnancy BFP #4 (break cycle), IVF #3 postponed.
    2/2013 TI w/ hormonal support, prednisone, aspirin, Lovenox, acupuncture gave us a miracle BFP #5!
    Heartbeat on U/S at 6w1d!     Baby,please stay!!
    Our miracle baby boy arrived 10/2013!  We are so in love!!

    10/2014 Surprise BFP #6
    Our second daughter arrived in May 2015!  We are so grateful!
