I honestly feel like its he biggest pain in the a$$. Between how long it takes, cleaning the parts, and doing it three times a day, I honestly can't stand it. Am I making it too difficult?
It's hard. But 3 times a day is not bad. I pumped every 3 hours around the clock for the first 2 months.
One thing you can do to make it easier if you are able is to keep your parts in the refrigerator during the day and then wash them at night. Also, a hands free bra can help so you can distract yourself while pumping. It helps the time go by.
Sorry you're having a hard time. Hopefully over time you'll get used to the routine.
Me:41, DH:41 Positive for MTHFR mutations- one copy C677T, one copy A1298C. One daughter born on Thanksgiving in 2013. Six losses.
I had to chuckle when I read this. It's not you; it's a total pain in the a$$!
I pump 5 times a day: before work, every 3 hours at work, and before I go to bed. There's nothing I enjoy about it. No-thing. My little man eats a lot: 3 6oz bottles while I'm at work. I actually talked to my pedi and a LC about this: it's normal.
So, yeah it completely blows. What I tell myself to help me feel better about it is that by pumping I'm working hard to give him the best I can even though I have to work (wish I didn't; whole other issue).
How long have you been at pumping? For me, I kinda had to accept it and let it be part of my routine and move on...but I still don't like it!
(FYI: DS is 8 months; I've been back at work for 5.)
Buy extra sets of pump parts so you don't have to wash them every time and hands free bra is a must. Pumping is my time to Bump or play video games :-)

I try to think of pumping as a break in my day. I try to get comfy, have something to eat, and read a good book while I'm pumping. Sometimes I'll even pump an extra 5 minutes to read a little more, while DH has the baby
I posted about this 1,000 times too. I hate(d) pumping, but as a PP said...I remind myself I'm giving my daughter the best there is so if I have to do this annoying ass sacrifice, it's worth it. HOWEVER...I am only pumping once a day for stash since she comes to work with me (nanny). I will say over the past two weeks, I've begun to hate pumping even more as my supply is shit. If I'm lucky, I will get an ounce off each side. It's super fun pumping for 2-3 days to get one bottle. I'm also a single mom, so I don't have the luxury of help...or solo pumping time. It's all I can do at this point to find the time to pump after she goes down for the night. Hugs and hang in there!

I didn't mind pumping at all and ended up EPing for 9 months. I also work from home, so I wasn't doing it in a janitor's closet and missing my lunch over it.
