  I posted this on fb and the loss board too.
  
  Today is a hard day. Today is Ben's due date.
  
  Our lives are so different than we thought they would be when we first found out we were pregnant. There won't be any shared birthday parties for our two children. No superheroes mixed in with the princess toys. No best buddy pictures with my nephew in the matching baseball outfits my parents bought for their grandsons. No hope that he will marry my bff's dd and officially make us family.
  
  We will never know if his brown, curly hair would have stuck or what color his eyes were. At twenty-seven weeks he was already thirteen and three-quarters inches long and two pounds four ounces.
  
  I will never get my chance at a vbac or have another worry-free pregnancy.
  
  No matter how much time passes, no matter how many other children we go on to have, there will always be a piece of our hearts, a piece of our family, that is missing. The place where Baby Ben should be.

  You ladies are so awesome. Your support for an internet stranger means so much. Today we did a lot of crying but we also finished his garden. It's a tough weekend (tomorrow marks three months since the accident and since we lost him). We are so glad that he can have some space dedicated to him in our small yard.
