Need dessert help for a potluck

I'm going to a potluck tomorrow, actually a luncheon after a baby dedication, and my brother asked me to bring dessert. I am just feeling blah about everything, and I have no good ideas.

What is your absolute best dessert recipe for a potluck? Preferably something I can make ahead or start to finish less than 1.5 hours, and then we'll be traveling in the car with it for 45 minutes. Thanks!

ETA - Needs to feed 12-15 people, and I don't think there are allergies, but I will probably avoid nuts just in case.

  • My go-to summer dessert is white cake (boxed) with cream cheese frosting (homemade). Then I decorate it with blue berries and strawberries to make it look like an American flag. It's easy, travels well, and people love it. Can also work as cupcakes!

  • Are cookies dessert or a snack? I love chai spiced sugar cookies. What about peach or berry cobbler since they are in season? Lemon bars?

    Ok, lemon squares it is.
