My husband and I love Elodie, Angelique, and Fiona. My favorites are the first two but I honestly love all. We also have a dear friend named Angelique, so it gives that one extra appeal. Which is the best? Middle name suggestions also welcome!!!!

I really like Elodie (I have a French friend with that name). Fiona is overdone in my opinion. Angelique is nice, particularly if it has a personal connotation.

Elodie would get my vote. The other two are lovely, just not ones I would choose. I always use family names for the middle name, so I'm no real help on that front.

I don't know how it's technically supposed to be pronounced, but I would definitely say ELLE-oh-dee. Like someone said, Melodee without the "M".

Elodie is definitely my favorite from the list. Not a fan of the other two.
I would probably like Fiona more though if i didnt always associate the name with a green ogre

I'd go with Angelique Elodie over Elodie Angelique, but that's because I think the flow is better and I really don't like Elodie -- for no real reason it reminds me of a fat, teased 5th grader.

I have nothing for or against Fiona, but I dislike Fi (Fee) as a nickname and often Fione gets shortened to that.

Elodie is my favorite, Angelique second. Shrek ruined Fiona for me, even after seeing it used quite a bit since the movie. I still always picture an ogre.

I like Elodie, especially pronounced ay-lo-dee. With the American pronunciation, it's one of those names that I have a love-hate relationship with - I like Melody, so it sounds like a misinterpretation of that OR it sounds like the initials L-O-D, but it's still SO pretty. Pronounced with the accent mark, it's GORGEOUS.
