We discussed having a running thread/check-in, but I hadn't seen one. To me this is different than the weight-loss thread. So, share what's going on! Successes this week? Setbacks? Goals (long or short term)? Questions?
ETA: Bragging is totally acceptable to me. If you ran your first 5k, don't be afraid to brag! Your 12th marathon? That's awesome too. Just keep in mind everyone's baseline is different, so don't be hurt if (as I realized I did below) someone says they *only* ran x miles, and that was disappointing to them and it's more than you ever desire to run in your entire life.
I'll start.
Successes: I actually ran this week. It was just 2 miles, one day (so far), but it's a start.
Setbacks: it's my first week back at work and DD1 has been really terrible at bedtime. Generally I would run after, but she's been so tough that I was exhausted by the time we got her down.
Short-term goals: Run 3x next week, and maybe try to run at least one more time this week
Questions: are there any morning runners out there? I've never been one, and scheduling-wise it might work now, but it would be before DD2 nursed in the morning, and I don't see being able to run with overnight-full breasts, and I don't want to pump and then run because our whole nursing/pumping routine is going well now. Thoughts?
