My LO has used a blanket for awhile now, & I just recently introduced a lovey. She holds it while she falls asleep but doesn't really do much with it in the crib.
I made Emma an 8x8 lovey. I actually made 2, thank goodness. They're minky material. She has slept with it every night since 4 months old. I have it to her when she was rolling around a lot and was grasping at her paci all the time. She held on to the lovey instead of pulling the paci out. Life saver! I made a few for Amelia. She is still swaddled, so I swaddle her, put her on her side, and fold it under her head like a pillow.

Amelia has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. She has had 3 open heart surgeries, 1 g-tube surgery, and one tracheostomy. She is the strongest, most precious little fighter.

When he's actually in his crib, he sleeps with his knuffle bunny. It is such a sweet story, and my mom found a Jellycat bunny that is adorable and soft, so we just call it his knuffle. He throws his arm around it to snuggle. Love it!
Yes we just introduced a teddy bear that she clutches sometimes but not others. She is past the age of highest SIDS risk and rolls around the crib like crazy so I'm not too worried. We don't put anything else in the crib though.
All my kids have had loveys. DS still sleeps with his(he was 5 in March). He was always super attached to his. He actually has 3 of the same one(in case one got lost), but he has a favorite of the 3, and I have yet to discover why, since they are all the same lol It's not the original one either. DD1 has 3 as well and she sleeps with them but never had the type of attachment as DS had(has). LO has one that is in her crib. She doesn't care about it too much yet. She does like to chew on it when I put it in the car seat with her.
My DS has a crocheted blanket that helps put him to sleep. I've never let him have it when I'm not watching him though because he pulls it over his face and leaves it there. He pulls it off eventually but I'm too paranoid to leave him with it in case he doesn't pull it off!
I have no idea what a binkie, lovey, or Taggie is...am I a bad mom? Please enlighten me! FTM here (and have never been around babies).
Binkie=pacifier Lovey=blanket or soft snugli item Taggie= blanket or stuffed animals with tags all over it (like size tags on clothing. Babies love tags!
Well there is a stuffed frog in her bed, it's been there since birth. She has only really been interested in it the past week, when she wakes up she likes to chat with it. Her favourite toy is yellow plastic clip that attaches toys to her play mat. DD#1 has a blanket, her "night-night time". It was a gift from someone and basically irreplaceable, I am dreading the day when it gets lost or is rendered unusable.
M has a stuffed hippo and teddy bear he sleeps with. When I put him down he will roll on his side and give one of them a bear hug and go to sleep. Sometimes when he's restless he engages in what we call "teddy bear wrestling". They seem to soothe him and keep him company.
