Your mucous plug can come out and it can grow back (weird...kind of gross lol). So even if your plug comes out sooner rather than later you can not go into labor. You can also loose it in chunks or you can not loose it all (or not realize you've lost it). Basically the mucous plug isn't a clear indicator or when you'll go into labor...
@JoShan1719 maybe if we're lucky well get pictures...
on a side note when I was pregnant with DS i read a post by someone who said she lost her plug and the only reason she knew was because she stepped in it...i will forever remember that post...
Do you all realize just how close we are to the "Is this labor????!!!?!?!?!!!!" posts?
Srsly.
We've had the Braxton hicks posts, the irritable uterus/unproductive contractions posts and now we're getting the mucous plug posts.
Next will be the false alarm posts, I'm guessing.
We're getting there, ladies!
That's what this forum is for. All this stuff is scary for first time moms.
Did I miss something? I don't think she meant to be insensitive. She's just stating facts. We ARE going to have false alarms... In the near future I'm sure.
Also, I believe she is a FTM and so I don't see why she would be bashing her own situation.

Yeah...I wasn't being a prat. I was just pointing out patterns...
I'm a FTM and I'm actually a recipient of an irritable uterus/ unproductive contractions diagnosis. So....yeah...

Sorry if I said something that bothered you.
Dude, does that mean you'll be dealing with contractions that aren't actually doing anything? Cuz that shit would suck.
That's EXACTLY what it means. And it does suck...big time!
FWIW I'm a STM and i still post stupid stuff...like earlier..dude 7 yrs makes a world of difference with pregnancy. I don't remember the heartburn or the back pain...
