Sad face momma, DD is going to be 1yr!

Today I took a picture of DD in a chair my friend gave me for my baby shower. I would have her sleep in it some times or I'd sit her in it so I could do stuff around the house. Around 6mo, I stopped putting her in it because she seemed too big for it. Seeing the pic from today has me mildly depressed... I don't have a little squishy anymore. I have a little human. Anyway, the pictures are of her newborn, 6mo and (almost) 1yr. She's so big!! I can't wait to see what the next year brings, all the growing and the talking and the developing... But sometimes, I wish I could rewind.

    Awww Happy Birthday to little Harley! 

    From about 10 months-2 years was my FAVORITE age, by far. They learn and grow and start to do SO much at that age...and they don't really have "opinions" yet so they don't talk back ;) It's so bittersweet to watch them grow up though...I still do that with mine and she's SIX. How was she ever the squishy ball of baby I brought home??

    I agree the squishy part goes by so fast!! Too fast!!! I know all us single mamas were so scared of the very beginning, but it was really wonderful in a lot of ways. I do love that she STTN now though. Congrats on a happy healthy toddler.

    We're doing something like that at her bday parties. We're providing slips of paper for people to write notes to her for her to read on her 18th birthday. I'm proofreading anything BD's parents may have to say, and if they go against my wishes and talk about BD, I will just simply tell: re-write or I won't add the notes to the jar.
