Changes in sleep

For the longest time I had a great sleeper. Slept through the night at 5 months and hasn't need a feeding since then. However , the past few weeks maybe even month or 2 has been brutal. She fusses constantly in her sleep. Without actually waking up she cries out mainly for the binky, but sometimes she will sit up and be half up and half sleeping fussing in her crib, waiting for me to come and pick her up and I pat her back to sleep. Sometimes after that she stays soundly aslleep other times she's up almost hourly just whining or fussing her sleep. 50/50. Also, it did all begging when herd irst tooth started and now she has the 2 bottom teeth. And, she has these days lately where she absolutely will not sit In her high chair. It's immediate crying and she won't eat. Maybe she'll take 2 bites then closes her mouth tight and fusses. It's brutal to hear everyday. Any suggestions

Re: Changes in sleep

  • I've given teething tablets, teethers, cloths, Tylenol. Nothing has worked every time. Sometimes she likes the cloth other times not at all. Regarding my hubby, ha! Im such a light sleeper that by the time he hears her I've already come back to bed.

When DS started doing this, I started bed sharing. I got a little more sleep that way. A good night he woke up every two hours a bad night every 45 minutes or was up half the night like you described. DS was having ear problems that I wasn't aware of at first. It has gotten better since he got tubes. Teething issues and ear issues can manifest similarly. He still has bad nights when he gets a new skill but its better over all. We are working on getting back to his crib now.
