Do you use CD safe detergent on your clothing as well?

I'm currently TTC, and wondering about cloth. I've read quite a few blogs so i get the just of it, but do you need to use cloth diaper safe detergent on regular clothing that is going to be washed in the same machine at different times? I thought regular detergent would leave buildup on the washer that would get on the diapers? It seems like using a safe one would get expensive though? (rocking green ect)

No, I use arm&hammer f&c on clothes usually.

The only time its usually an issue is with charlie's soap, because it can react weirdly with other detergents.

Also, Rockin green is notorious for stink issues, so make sure you do a lot of research before you decide!

I use Nellies for my diapers and Tide for my clothes.

I use tide free and clear on my clothes. My sensitive skin doesn't react to it and it gets our laundry clean so I just kept using it. I have used Nellie's before on my clothes though.

I agree with PPs about Rockin green. I bought some without doing a lot of research and it was terrible for getting the diapers clean.

I did when I used Country Save. But I can't get it where I live now, and the cd safe detergent I get now is too expensive to use for regular laundry.

I try to run a cleaning cycle in my machine every other month or so to keep buildup / residue to a minimum.
