First RE Appt today

So DH did get to go to the appt, YAY! I'm so thankful because when the doctor asked me to tell him about our recent history with all the losses, I really struggled because I was crying, so DH was able to help fill in the gaps. We're still not sure if we'll attempt IVF. Even if we decided to do it, we wouldn't get to start until fall. I still have a lot of grief to get through (we're going to start counseling hopefully next week) and we need to pray and talk about finances. OMG wow the finances. Doc went ahead and drew blood today from both of us and whenever I start my period, I'll go in for an ultrasound to make sure my uterus looks ok.

So...all in all..it went well. DH and I had some good discussion today and we really liked our doctor. Thank you all SO much for your support to this point and for being a place I can come to. ((hugs))

Oh that is wonderful he was able to make it!!! I was thinking of you and hoping he would!!!! I am glad you were able to get the ball rolling. I think we started our testing in summer (tail end early September) of 2009? And didn't get to actually start until June 2010. I always feel like anyone considering should just go in, meet and have that appt and then you have a history for when you are actually physicall, mentally, financially ready. Good luck with the grief counseling. I know it won't be easy- but I will be praying. For your guys.

I'm so glad your DH was able to make it. We found out my IF diagnosis in March, started IUIs in April and were going to jump to IVF next but decided to continue with IUIs until the fall. I just wasn't ready physically or mentally and wanted to wait until the fall. Keep us posted on the results!
