We were eating a casserole (this one, which was good:
https://damndelicious.net/2014/03/05/broccoli-quinoa-casserole/) when the Pyrex in the middle of the table exploded all over dh and dd and DS and the dog and me. It got everywhere. Down the hall, halfway up the stores, in the kid's seats, on DD's hair and clothes and the stuffed animal she was chewing on, in the sink across the room... This thing fucking exploded.
We're all okay, but how did this happen? The Pyrex was in the oven for ten minutes at 350 and then put directly on a hot pad on the table. Nothing cold touched it. We didn't bump or drop it. It just out of the blue exploded.
I had a glass pan do this before but that was a knock off pan in a developing country so it was pretty poorly made.
Re: My glass pan exploded-tell me what I did wrong
Glad you're all ok!
Randomly exploding glass pans seems like a bad thing.
I'm pissed.
What do I replace this shit with? I've been trying to stay away from nonstick.
Is stoneware going to blow up on me as well? It's so freaking heavy.
