Skin to skin magic

LO had two shots today at her 2 month appt. She did pretty good, but woke up crying unlike anything I've seen from her yet. I'd just showered, so I figured why not strip her and give it a try? OMG it was a miracle. One big sigh and she relaxed. We've been hanging out in diapers and undies all afternoon.

Just wanted to share in case it happens at your house.

    This is sweet! Dill pickle gets shots on Tuesday so I'm definitely gonna try this if he cries a lot from them

    Good suggestion! We went at 6 weeks and she was a mess for at least 3 days and 2 nights. I'll make my house a nudist colony if it works!

    My LO got her shots today and also seems like she's in pain. I just gave her some infant Tylanol, but I might try this later tonight before putting her down for the evening. I'm glad it helped your LO, @ksulli!

    I did the same thing yesterday! No shots, but he was fussy so when I got out of the shower we did skin-to-skin and he finally gave up the fight and went to sleep!

    When DS had his shots last week he was either really happy and smiling or really fussy. We spent most of last weekend with him laying on my chest with him in his diaper only. So I also recommend skin to skin...it seemed to settle him even though those shots messed with his GI system.
